Hedgehog Posted 5 May, 2013 Posted 5 May, 2013 Turned Talksport on and Glenn Hoddle on. What a W*nker with regards to Matty, Gasgoine and the disabled. Hate hearing his voice as much as Venables and Maggie Thatcher, at least one has gone.

I suppose it is guilt for being instrumental in the clubs fall fromgrace and subsquent loss of a proud tenure in the top division. Obviously Hedgehog is feeling very guilty and ashamed of his actions.

I know also that Hoddle is allowed to dislike Matty, but surely after the England B match etc. should have been given a chance. Whether you like a guy or not you pick the best for England. There will probably many teams where manager and player dislike one another, but the team is the most important thing, you pick your best.

For Hoddle then, look at Hodgson now.

Well they may have buried the hatchet publicly, but privately, or actually not so privately, Matt described Hoddle as a ***t. I went to a charity event last Thursday night at the Liberty Stadium where he was the guest speaker and he says that the FA/England has a big club mentality which generally means that some players get picked time and time again and others don't. He mentioned Wellbeck as an example. He also said that he didn't get more caps for England because he turned down a move to Spurs when Venables was manager, and he then went on to manage England shortly after, then he turned down a move the Chelsea when Hoddle was manager, who then went on to manage England shortly after.

I am sure that he still thinks hod is a bit of a nob, that said it was Matt who instigated the make up after a chance meeting at a hotel. He actually signed a contract with spurs but it was subsequently destroyed!
