dellboypete Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 At Donington services. Bit early but picking up daughter from York on way. Bizarrely there is a coach load of Wigan fans here. They all look worse for wear but I'm wondering if they are lost!
jim_bergerac Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Scottish Saints (Jersey Branch) en route. One of our home (away) matches.
ericofarabia Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 I don't understand your predictions Ben. My head is spinning. Have a good day.
grantsaint Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Scottish saints leaving Edinburgh in half an hour!! Yelloowsss!!
St Lej Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 I love the way Dannysfc can never pin his prediction to just one scorer per goal.
ericofarabia Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Anybody hoping for a goalfest might be in for a disappointment looking at their home record. Only QPR have scored less at home, but only 4 of the top 7 have conceded less!! A tight 1-0 either way or a 1-1 seems likely ....... cue a 4-3 stonker to us then!!
dubai_phil Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Scottish Saints (Jersey Branch) en route. One of our home (away) matches. That post was more confusing than Eric's attempt to use his mobile on Friday Night when he ended up in Tehran after Sandance
ericofarabia Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 That post was more confusing than Eric's attempt to use his mobile on Friday Night when he ended up in Tehran after Sandance It wasn't Tehran it was Basra ... sorry Al Barsha!! You do realise it is a 1800 Dubai KO not 1900 as you advertised on FB? Next week is the 1900 KO. Quiet night for me tonight drinking wise but hopefully plenty to cheer to make up for it.
The9 Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Finally what kit will be in and where are people pre drinking too as well!?! COYR!!! We will be in yellow. Because that's the only kit we have which isn't the same colour as their home kit. For completion : I'll be drinking, probably water or maybe a cup of tea, in my kitchen.
Dalek2003 Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Stoke already 1 up against Spurs. Hope we don't have to beat them on the last day to stay up.
SaintBobby Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Stoke already 1 up against Spurs. Hope we don't have to beat them on the last day to stay up. There are no remotely credible circumstances in which we need to. A single point from our last two games keeps us up.
S-Clarke Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 There are no remotely credible circumstances in which we need to. A single point from our last two games keeps us up. Stop biting! He knows that, he's just trying to wind up.
ToreSF Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Will be pleased with a point today. Thin we need to make stuff difficult for them from the start. Not let them gain any confidence.
SaintBobby Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Stop biting! He knows that, he's just trying to wind up. I appreciate he's a trolling loon. Just seeking to clarify things for the slightly saner readers of this forum.
Badger Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 I love the way Dannysfc can never pin his prediction to just one scorer per goal. I thought he meant they were sharing a goal by scoring half of one each. I'll have to ask him to expand on the theory after the game.
sandwichsaint Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Drove up overnight, kipped in the car, breakfast on the seafront at Roker in full sunshine. Hissing down now, Sunderland is pub central, natives v friendly. Just need a result now. 0-1 lambert, you heard it here first.
maysie Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Saints team: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Rodriguez, Lallana ©, Lambert. #saintsfc
Saint Matty 76 Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Saints substitutes: K. Davis (GK), Yoshida, Forren, Ward-Prowse, Mayuka, De Ridder, Puncheon.

Badger Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 And in the absence of Fox or Guly, today's official matchday scapegoat is ? probably Hooiveld.
The9 Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 (edited) I've just decided to try and identify a scenario where we'd have to beat Stoke to stay up. And I've given up. Edited 12 May, 2013 by The9
The9 Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Hooiveld instead of Yoshida again? Seems to be in line with Pochettino's "shop windowing" of talent we may wish to move on, or alternatively "Hooiveld's first choice now", which seems unlikely. I bet Forren gets on if we're 2 or 3 up.
SaintBobby Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 I've just decided to try and identify a scenario where we'd have to beat Stoke to stay up. And I've given up. 1. Wigan win both their remaining games - Arsenal (a) and Villa (h) AND 2. Norwich secure 2+ points v WBA (h) and Man City (a) AND 3. Newcastle secure 2+ points v QPR (a) and Arsenal (h) AND 4. We lose to Sunderland today by 12 goals or more Not especially likely, all in all.
Badger Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Is Gaston injured? Three match suspension after WBA , I thought.
SaintBobby Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Is Gaston injured? Suspended for rest of the season. As is Fox.
Badger Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Suspended for rest of the season. As is Fox. I read Fox was a one match ban. No idea if correct.
SaintBobby Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 I read Fox was a one match ban. No idea if correct. Really. Was it a straight red v WBA or a 2nd yellow? If the latter, you're right - it would only be a one match ban.
simo Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Straight red , 3 matches ! My trainee that I pick up in the mornings is a makem , told him if we lose hes making his own way in lol. I think he'll be ok though 2 nil saints Ricky and Jose!
SNSUN Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Very happy with that line-up. Pretty much exactly as I'd have chosen, possibly with Yoshida in instead of Fonte. Easily good enough for three points today, especially against a weakened Sunderland. This will be no walk in the park, but I do think we're good enough to win this. I'd still take a draw though, natch.
Window Cleaner Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Really. Was it a straight red v WBA or a 2nd yellow? If the latter, you're right - it would only be a one match ban. straight red Olivier Giroud Arsenal 20.04.2013 14.05.2013 3 Steven Sidwell Fulham 20.04.2013 19.05.2013 4 Luis Suarez Liverpool 24.04.2013 10 Rafael Da Silva Manchester United 05.05.2013 3 Daniel Fox Southampton 27.04.2013 19.05.2013 3 Gaston Ramirez Southampton 27.04.2013 19.05.2013 3 Stephane Sessegnon Sunderland 29.04.2013 19.05.2013 3 Craig Gardner Sunderland 06.05.2013 3 Marc Fortune West Bromwich Albion 27.04.2013 12.05.2013 3
Saint Garrett Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Would have liked Puncheon to start instead of Lallana, lets hope Adam can pick up his form.
InvictaSaint Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Well Charlie Adam won't be playing against us next Sunday - 2 yellows against Spurs and he's off.
obelisk Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Danny Graham continues up front despite going 815 minutes without a Premier League goal.Probably means he'll break that duck today.
Manuel Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Suspended for rest of the season. As is Fox. Oh yeah, remember now. I like the look of today's line-up. 2-1 Saints.
Badger Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Would have liked Puncheon to start instead of Lallana, lets hope Adam can pick up his form. Puncheon's demotion to the subs bench is a bit of a strange one as some of better performances have been with him involved. (Did not think I'd ever be saying that 12-18 months ago).
Olallana Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Hooiveld instead of Yoshida again? No, Hooiveld has played almost every game together with Yoshida so it´s vey unlikely that they would replace one and another. Jeeez, you would think that our fans would´ve been watching the games....
Saint Garrett Posted 12 May, 2013 Posted 12 May, 2013 Puncheon's demotion to the subs bench is a bit of a strange one as some of better performances have been with him involved. (Did not think I'd ever be saying that 12-18 months ago). Agree, has been involved in some vital wins for us, seems that since he's signed his contract, he's now on the bench, even though Lallana's form has been poor.
