Sunderland Vs Stoke Thread

hmmm - wonder if Paolo might use half time to encourage Sunderland to try some continental tactics - i.e. trying to get Stoke players rattled to get someone sent off. If so we could end up seeing a card-fest with both teams losing players fro the end of the season. That could well be to our advantage - though we usually do worse against teams who are under-strength because of injuries and sendings off!

Stag do was in Manchester with a load of Makoons that spoke Geordie. It was an accident I was there really, they were friends of my mate, then my mate pulled a sickie and didn't come. I was left wandering round Manchester with my shirt if singing about sunny sunny Sunderland. We get thrown out of wetherspoons, it was that bad. Call them whatever you like, they are from beyond the wall and Cheryl Cole was a one off.

Sunderland still look tough to break down. Pace at full back and height at centre back. We will need to up our own game otherwise they might strangle us to death again.

Paolo looks like he might explode into a ball of flames. If it doesn;t happen tonight we might take him over the edge next week.

Sunderland were actually were one of the better teams to come to St Mary's this season. Properly did a job on us (like a fair chunk of the lower half teams have done) and never really looked like conceding. Graham's lack of a goal since joining them worries me with us up next!

Would you rather he got a hat trick?

teams that show little ambition and look to hit on the break always tend to cause us the most problems. Can't see their fans allowing them to sit back at home. They will have to come forward and that should help us a little.

Not worried about Graham at all. One of the most average strikers ever to grace the Prem.

Certainly could happen. Then if we beat them on Saturday, they're as good as down considering they're at Spurs on the last game.

It would pile huge pressure on them, next week, but if they did get a result, it would be back on us, Norwich or Newcastle.

Meaning they have to win against us so they wont be able to sit back and park the bus, good for us IMO.

Feeling hot under the collar!

Actually, I think you're not far off the mark. He's not cut for the cool, withdrawn role - he needs to be jumping up and down. He keeps fidgeting with the tie, the collar, his face etc.

Much, much less interesting: his team is crap and should end below us in the table ;)

hope crouch has a stinker when he plays against us

he owes us for bottling it at Fratton and THAT stupid shot against everton at home

I will let him off, for all the goals he scored for us, and the last minute pen against the skates in the fa cup.
