Batman Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 you can see already how stoke will play at SMS. defend in numbers and either give the ball to charlie adam or hit the ball down the channels to Jerome

Tokyo-Saint Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 i ideally wanted newcastles to go down cos it gives us ex-saints managers relegation hat-trick, but i spose sunderland would do if not. Either of the geordie clubs yo. Exactly bear. Sorry about all the troubles BFFF foureva!

SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 hmmm - wonder if Paolo might use half time to encourage Sunderland to try some continental tactics - i.e. trying to get Stoke players rattled to get someone sent off. If so we could end up seeing a card-fest with both teams losing players fro the end of the season. That could well be to our advantage - though we usually do worse against teams who are under-strength because of injuries and sendings off! mulletsaint Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Personally I would prefer not to criticise any of their players until after we play them. Why? 'Cos I am a bit superstitious about tempting fate Glad it's not just me then.

I went there once cos i heard bout them taking tops off... turned out it was just the men tho ffs Stag do was in Manchester with a load of Makoons that spoke Geordie. It was an accident I was there really, they were friends of my mate, then my mate pulled a sickie and didn't come. I was left wandering round Manchester with my shirt if singing about sunny sunny Sunderland. We get thrown out of wetherspoons, it was that bad. Call them whatever you like, they are from beyond the wall and Cheryl Cole was a one off.
SaintBobby Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 That Gardner red card is very helpful. Sunderland's attack is decimated and that starts to rip out the heart of their midfield.
dubai_phil Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Sunderland are AWFUL.... TV Studio presenter's summing up of the first half. Feet being left in tackles, players losing heads. Paulo ranting
Chez Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Sunderland still look tough to break down. Pace at full back and height at centre back. We will need to up our own game otherwise they might strangle us to death again. Paolo looks like he might explode into a ball of flames. If it doesn;t happen tonight we might take him over the edge next week.
Berkshire Saint Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Sunderland were actually were one of the better teams to come to St Mary's this season. Properly did a job on us (like a fair chunk of the lower half teams have done) and never really looked like conceding. Graham's lack of a goal since joining them worries me with us up next! Graham's lack of a goal since joining them worries me with us up next! teams that show little ambition and look to hit on the break always tend to cause us the most problems. Can't see their fans allowing them to sit back at home. They will have to come forward and that should help us a little. Not worried about Graham at all. Lazlo78 Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 Feeling hot under the collar! Actually, I think you're not far off the mark. He's not cut for the cool, withdrawn role - he needs to be jumping up and down. He keeps fidgeting with the tie, the collar, his face etc. Much, much less interesting: his team is crap and should end below us in the table
