Yate Saint Posted 4 May, 2013 Share Posted 4 May, 2013 You can't blame him. 1) Wonder goal 2) Edges Spurs to a Champs League spot 3) Wasn't long left If all those were not applicable today he probably wouldn't have celebrated as much. He's a good guy. I hope he leaves Spurs though as we wont win anything there.
Restark19 Posted 4 May, 2013 Share Posted 4 May, 2013 didn't he say he would 'mute' his celebration if he scores against us like he did at SMS. The lads just scored a massive, massive goal for his club. Let him celebrate.

UpweySaint Posted 4 May, 2013 Share Posted 4 May, 2013 I think it's different if its at sms and he runs to celebrate in front of our fans, thats a bit tasteless or if it was last the of the season and it sent us down etc. But WHL ok, he's their player now, much as we may wish otherwise. Cant be too bitter

Crab Lungs Posted 4 May, 2013 Share Posted 4 May, 2013 Bloody hell, are we really moaning about Bale not showing us "respect"? Someone put it perfectly above, check the context; 1. Spurs remain in CL contention 2. Great goal 3. Late strike in the game, so euphoric in a sense Spurs pay his wages, not us. We were bloody unfortunate not to get a draw today but expecting Bale to "dumb down" his celebration is mental. Just how sensitive are we?!?!? We were bloody unfortunate not to get a draw today but expecting Bale to "dumb down" his celebration is mental. Just how sensitive are we?!?!? Bale and Spuds (PMSL) deserve each other, both arrogant c*nts with no respect for anyone but themselves. I've always found Spurs fans totally disrespectful since a game there in 1998. I'd had bought a ticket and prebooked the train but in the run up to the game I had been suffering from the flu. Unfortuantely I had to make the decision that morning that I couldn't go to the game due to sickness. Much to my amazement, despite me being ill and losing around £60 due to being unable to travel there was no minutes applause for me on 8 minutes (my old shirt number) no picture of me on their scoreboards encouraging fans to support my battle against the virus and no words of support from anyone connected at THFC. They have always been arrogant and disrespectful, so no surprise Bale should start to behave is such a way now.

It's not as if a lot of water has gone under the bridge in that time. There might just be a tad difference between 25000 opposition supporters at SMS and 2500 at WHL for a start. I cannot believe that their are people out in the world that think this is any sort of slight against Southampton by Bale. Yes he was at the Academy, yes he got his first team place with us. We then SOLD HIM as a master sells a slave to another master, his new master is Spurs let it be boys and girls

niceandfriendly Posted 5 May, 2013 Share Posted 5 May, 2013 I guess you lot have lower standards of what you expect from people , did Theo celebrate either of his goals against us this season ? I think people are more concerned about seeing football turn into the sort of nanny-state situation that the rest of the country is being slowly but surely ruined by. Don't offend him! Don't upset her! Oh gosh don't celebrate a goal against your old team the fans might cry! AAAAAGHHHHH someone pass me a helmet I'm stepping outside for a moment and don't want to bang my head. You know?
PhilippineSaint Posted 5 May, 2013 Share Posted 5 May, 2013 the whole country has been turned into a Nanny Politically Correct state that it is un-believable. Dont look at me you might offend me then I will have to sue you. One question to all the PC correct people out there How do you interact with people that you might want to have an intimate relationship with, without the possibility of offending them? He was at saints since he was 9 wasnt he ? We gave him one last chance when he was getting close to being dropped I don't care what everyone says its all about standards of respect I have bucket loads for Walcott and the class he showed after scoring twice against us and who played less first team games for us and left longer ago but still had the respect to not celebrate at all ! You lot are entitled to your low standards of people but I give and demand more respect !

lordswoodsaints Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 It was his 200th game for spurs and a cracking goal scored by leaving shaw ( the best young left back in the prem) for dead....what's not to celebrate?,after all there was a lot of booing from saints fans every time he touched the ball along with sarcastic chants of 'bale, bale' every time he went down so if it was me I would have ran over to us and given it plenty right in our faces tbh.....respect works both ways. Appy Posted 6 May, 2013 Share Posted 6 May, 2013 I guess you lot have lower standards of what you expect from people , did Theo celebrate either of his goals against us this season ?
