Lallana's Left Peg Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Oliver Kay @OliverKayTimes 1h FWA 1st: Bale (53% of votes). 2nd: Van Persie (43%). 3rd: Mata. Suarez, Zabaleta, Cazorla, Lambert, Benteke among others to pick up votes Pretty good achievement for Lambert given the deluge of other talent in the league
Pat from Poole Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Am I the only person to think that Cazorla is totally over-rated? I suspect I possibly will be.
DuncanRG Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Am I the only person to think that Cazorla is totally over-rated? I suspect I possibly will be. He runs games but he's not quite the Mata or Bale type who can take over whenever they feel like it. I think with more quality movement in front of him at Arsenal we'd see the very best of him - when Walcott played down the middle they linked up really well.
Appy Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Haven't seen Carzola really turn it on against a big team yet, seems to run the game against lower to midtable teams, but when they play United,Chelsea,City he seems to not make an impact.
DuncanRG Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Arsenal have struggled against the top teams in all areas this season, but I remember Cazorla was one of the best players on the pitch when they drew with City away. That was early in the season, when everyone thought they'd keep 38 clean sheets and challenge for the title
Chez Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Am I the only person to think that Cazorla is totally over-rated? I suspect I possibly will be. I've not seen a lot of him to be fair, but in the game at SMS he was terrible, giving the ball away time after time. No where near the quality of a Mata. Perhaps that game wasn't indicative of how he normally plays. When I've seen him on the box he has been merely OK. Wiltshire is the stand out player at Arsenal. I guess Cazorla has scored goals and that tends to help wipe out sub standard performances in fans minds.
SuperMikey Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 He was absolutely quality against us at the Emirates - everything went through him. Agree that he has yet to make a real impact in a "big" game though.

pingwing Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 So was Gervinho which isn't really saying much. Gervinho was occupying the space Fox should of been who I can only assume went for ice-cream most of the game.
Smirking_Saint Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Gervinho was occupying the space Fox should of been who I can only assume went for ice-cream most of the game. Wasnt Gervinho playing down the left ?
pingwing Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Pretty sure he came hammering down our left for everything first half which according to most arsenal fans is him playing out of position, but football genius (that didn't know it) in reality
Big Ron fan Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Am I the only person to think that Cazorla is totally over-rated? I suspect I possibly will be. No you're not
Saint Garrett Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 i think he was striker yo He was indeed Bear. Chamberlain - Cazorla - Podolski ------------ Gervinho---------- But they were extremely fluid that day, tore us to bits!
Danbert Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Am I the only person to think that Cazorla is totally over-rated? I suspect I possibly will be. He's been completely anonymous in the games I've seen.
old_southy Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 For the price Arsenal paid I think he was a bargain.
