Saint-Armstrong Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 (edited) Ex-Saint died today aged 55. He struggled with pick's disease and required 24/7 care in the lead up to his death. Sad news. RIP Kevin Edited 29 April, 2013 by JustMike Image added
Depressed of Shirley Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 very sad, RIP Kev, not forgotten by any of us at the ZDS final.
Webby Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Indeed. Very sad news. RIP Kevin. Watched him give many a whole hearted and committed display down at the Dell and of course at the ZDS final at Wembley. A true pro.
JRM Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 RIP top saints defender from my early match going days , fondly remember his goal at Wembley in ZDS cup final and he scored the other great goal in the 4-1 thrashing of Norwich when Le Tiss scored a hat trick in 1989/90
vince Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 (edited) Sad news indeed, RIP. Edited 29 April, 2013 by vince
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 One of my first ever football cards. RIP fella.
oldskoolsi Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 RIP. His goal against Norwich was amazing. And from everything i've heard, he was a great bloke.

Hockey_saint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 I remember when he visited my school, top bloke, RIP
Colinjb Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Sad news. At least his suffering has come to an end. Thoughts to his family.
OttawaSaint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Oh no! One of my favourites growing up, very sad news indeed. RIP Kev!
Didcot Saint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 RIP top saints defender from my early match going days , fondly remember his goal at Wembley in ZDS cup final and he scored the other great goal in the 4-1 thrashing of Norwich when Le Tiss scored a hat trick in 1989/90 This, RIP Kevin a top bloke
Whitey Grandad Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 A lovely man, always willing to hang around and talk to you. I remember his last game at White Hart Lane after we had been beaten something like 3-0. As he left the pitch he had a last wistful look around the stadium. Sometimes life's just not fair. May he Rest in Peace.
alpine_saint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Great servant of the club. Always gave his all. Could teach the current squad a thing or two about determination. RIP Kev.
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Probably a little late now but I spoke to the family earlier and they didn't want it made public just yet as he only passed this afternoon and they wanted his friends to be told personally rather than seeing it on sky sports news. Hopefully the media won't latch onto it just yet. Ripmooro
ART Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 R.I.P. Kevin. You'll be sadly missed. Sincere condolences to all the family and loved ones.
bender Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Remember him in the late eighties. If we got a corner it was as good as a pen, he always scored from the flick on. He had the whitest ever legs though, of that there is no doubt.
Jonnyboy Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 RIP Met his cousin at a wedding a couple of years ago. Condolences to him and all Kevins family.
Ashley Grute Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 One of the players I really looked up to as a young CB- very sad news.
so22saint Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 He was in the room next to my wife's Grandad in the White House until recently - the poor bugger looked terrible and I would say it's a blessed relief in many ways (much like when my mum went last year - I'm not saying that without a similar experience). I did tell him I'd seen him score at Wembley and it got a bit of a reaction - RIP Kev
saint_jas Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Oh no, I was at the ZDS final as well, RIP Kevin Moore
SaintSparky Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 RIP Kevin. I was lucky enough to meet Kevin on the pitch at The Dell after our final home game at the end of his first season with Southampton (87-88?); I asked if he had enjoyed his first season with us, a big smile came on to his face as he signed my programme and he commented "loving it here".
Badvoc Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Sincere condolences to the Moore family at the tragic loss of a man so young. Super pro and as mentioned earlier, he got some stunning headed goals from corners. From memory would chip in with 3 or 4 goals a season. Will be fondly remembered by Saints and Grimsby alike.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Nice nice man, very sad news but i guess a bit of a relief that he is now at peace after an illness that was so hard to cope with. A good solid pro who was the salt of the earth.
Shrek Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Such sad news, RIP. I remember that goal at Wembley, such an amazing day.
