Colinjb Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 It wouldn't have felt that we actually belong in the competition having only qualified via fair play. A place is a place. It wouldn't have bothered me personally, also that we earned it through 'Fair Play' rather then a pyrric cup victory based on crippling over-spending would have a certain beautiful irony to it.
Supersubpuckett Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 i think we'll get smashed tomorrow - 4-0, something like that
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 i think we'll get smashed tomorrow - 4-0, something like that why do you think that then ? there's no earthly reason for us to get "smashed" by anyone. We might lose but we won't get smashed. Spurs are on the decline because they've over-extended their capacities.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 (edited) Our defence is still capable of being dire. It was at Reading and kept a clean sheet. Do that at Spurs and they'll get smashed. We could play much better than the last game and lose worse if Bale and co are on top of their game. Morgan will sort Bale out, he will be invisible. Having said that Corky needs to keep his calm a bit better this week, let others do the dirty work, they're far better and more accomplished at it than he is. However Morgan won't be coming off injury this week so perhaps Corky won't get delegated for the dodgy last ditch tackles. Edited 3 May, 2013 by Window Cleaner
saintbob40 Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 I hope Huddelstone plays, he has got the turning circle of the Battleship Potemkin.....and bad hair! We should also play keep it off Scott Parker for the first 10 minutes and knacker him out for the rest of the game as he runs around like a nutter in the sun.

Huddlestone is one of the best passers in the prem,he would have a field day against a below par saints team
Saint Garrett Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 I just heard that Spurs haven't won a 3pm kick off at WHL all season!?
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Huddlestone is one of the best passers in the prem,he would have a field day against a below par saints team and exactly why would we have a below par team then ?
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 I just heard that Spurs haven't won a 3pm kick off at WHL all season!? neither have we
Saint Garrett Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 neither have we Thats because we haven't played there yet this season And the point you're getting at, thats not great for a 'top 4 side'.
THEVMAN Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Great news. First time TheVMan has been wrong? LolYea some bastard giving out dodgy info but i`ll get my coat anyway lol
doggface Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 any news on song? Or was that info from some bastard too? ; )
THEVMAN Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 any news on song? Or was that info from some bastard too? ; ) Abit early doors for that but the summer will be very interesting £££

MOSaint Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Abit early doors for that but the summer will be very interesting £££ Heard anything about the two un-named players that we are supposedly close to signing?
pangy Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 and exactly why would we have a below par team then ? I meant it in the way that if we are below par on the day,see West Brom highlights for example of below par/sh1t
BlakeySFC Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Abit early doors for that but the summer will be very interesting £££ If we stay up.
Dark Munster Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Abit early doors for that but the summer will be very interesting £££ Shaw sold to Chelski for lots of £££?
Pilchards Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Shaw sold to Chelski for lots of £££? Well Pooch did say if Bale was at Saints now he would not be sold, so I would think that Shaw would be in that bracket don't you?

Jonnyboy Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Whilst Adebayor has been abysmal this season, hope he starts for them. This.
ericofarabia Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Well Pooch did say if Bale was at Saints now he would not be sold, so I would think that Shaw would be in that bracket don't you? It's not our hands if he decides not to sign up to stay with us. Hope he will, but who knows what advice he's getting. Presumably he has an agent who may or may not relish getting a wedge from a Chelski signing on fee :-(
Toadhall Saint Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Shaw has publicly committed his future to Saints so not sure why Shaw leaving keeps being dragged out? Perhaps I'm a little naive and shouldn't believe the young man?
Saint Trev Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 If Bale is playing on the left, even if he's drifting into more central positions, I'd rather Clyne stay where he is. We need to be as strong on the right hand side as possible. So Boruc Clyne Fonte Yoshi Frazer Cork Morgan Davis - JRod - Puncheon Lambert
Pilchards Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Boruc Cork Yoshi Jos Clyne Davis Ward-Prowse Lallana Spider Puncheon J Rod Bench: Rickie, Mayuka, Davis, Fonte & Shaw.
Roger Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Boruc Cork Yoshi Jos Clyne Davis Ward-Prowse Lallana Spider Puncheon J Rod Bench: Rickie, Mayuka, Davis, Fonte & Shaw. J rod at swansea was awful when he was upfront on his own. Why is Lallana in team?
trousers Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 @SouthamptonFC: Saints team: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Shaw, Cork, S. Davis, Guly, Lallana ©, Rodriguez, Lambert. #saintsfc

S-Clarke Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Morgan will be a massive miss. and the fact that De Ridder has made it onto the bench shows how crap our depth is.
trousers Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 @SouthamptonFC: Morgan Schneiderlin misses through injury, while a knock restricts Maya Yoshida to a place on the bench. #saintsfc
bpsaint Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 @SouthamptonFC: Saints team: Boruc, Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Shaw, Cork, S. Davis, Guly, Lallana ©, Rodriguez, Lambert. #saintsfc Guly? Interesting. Where's yoshida? Was hoping to have him and Fonte instead of Hooiveld.
Toadhall Saint Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 No MS then? Not on the bench - must have picked up an injury.
trousers Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Game over. Someone start the Sunderland build up thread
S-Clarke Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Aaron Lennon returns from injury to start for Tottenham against Southampton. nice one.

Batman Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Aaron Lennon returns from injury to start for Tottenham against Southampton. nice one. cant see anything but a loss here. ah well as long as wigan dont win, all is fine

S-Clarke Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 On what planet is Guly better than Puncheon then . Guly will be deployed as an AMC I'd expect. Puncheon is a winger.
tomf05 Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 What the hell can punch have done to be sidelined for Guly?
Lighthouse Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Don't really see why De Ridder gets so much stick, he really hasn't looked that bad when I've seen him. I've seen much worse performances from the likes of Lallana, Gaston and Puncheon at times this season. Not suggesting he is better than they are but his faults seem to get a disproportionate amount of stick. Christ, anyone would think we had Anthony Pulis on the bench.
Batman Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Guly will be deployed as an AMC I'd expect. Puncheon is a winger. can see that too, Guly in front of davis and cork
trousers Posted 4 May, 2013 Posted 4 May, 2013 Would have thought the likes of Seager would be a better option off the bench than De Ridder IMO
