Skates, Stokies, Cardiff, Millwall, Chelsea, Everton, West Ham and Geordies all have pretty good home and away atmospheres.

You didn't go to Newcastle this season did you? Absolute library and it was a cracking game.

Remember West Brom being very loud last time we played them at SMS. Championship with Jesus' waist high tackle? Free travel undoubtedly helped plus the fact that Wolves went 2-0 down early on (and they were totally bossing us). Completely outsung just as the team completely outplayed us.

Is that a problem really?

Is there some rule or code of conduct that forbids any human being of going to a football game? Should someone who owns a business have football websites and TV shows blocked?

You have some very thick and ignorant complexes in your mind, sort it out.

I have stated that since we have moved our support has gone more plummy and in turn the atmosphere has diminished, nothing controversial there at all.

Why would any middle class non-singing JCL want sit in the Northam with the plebs?

Singing is uncool. We all want a great atmosphere but does anyone want to sing all games ESP as moronic songs about guns etc.

A slow oh when the saints and Coyr at corners is my limit. Unless I'm p1ssed

Atmosphere has been great at city, Liverpool, Chelsea games. Nothing new is happening and people getting nostalgic already about Northam. Just more away fans now showing us up

Yes but you mustn't forget that we have moved from a 15,000 seater box to a modern 32,000 stadium. Our core support wasn't going to double its figures.

Dare I say it but with all these JCLs in the Northam it isn't what it was. Everyonee seems to think on this forum that ST holders on the epiphany of saint supporters but it's not true. I'm not saying that every ST holder doesnt sing but can you deny that the atmosphere last year was so much better?

Funnily enough my mate who was in the Itchen yesterday and is normally an ST holder in the Northam commented on how loud the Northam sounded yesterday - none of us in there were particularly impressed... thought West Brom were very loud even before they went in front though.

Again I understand that, but my point stands.

They were taking the **** out of us and rightly so.

I don't care. It was embarrassing of the highest order.

As a rule, only people earning £20k a year or less should attend, and we should all be up for a good old fashion punch up after the game. Anyone else should be banned.

Sanchez is right, the atmosphere is Sh!t. The Northam is the only area with any sort of signing, the other 3 stands are just full of dull nobheads, women and kids.

I'm just glad I dot sit near you - you sound a right cnt

As someone who has supported Saints for well in excess of 50 years (started probably 35 years before you were born), I sincerely hope that this post is meant as some pathetic attempt at humour. As someone who has been through thick and thin with this club and pumped thousands into it over the years I find this post both juvenile and objectionable just becouse I don`t "sign".

Bravo for pointing out a typo. I just prefer a bit of atmosphere. Nowt wrong with that.

No, and everyone is free to support the team in their own way. Yours is not the only or the right way. I thought that this is a free country. And by the way, well done for ignoring the rest of my post.

This doesn't make sense. Do you mean "are the epitome of saints supporters"?

You clearly have never been to Upton Park when things aren't going well for the home team - or even last season when it was so bad they couldn't get a win when the really mattered.

There is just so much wrong with this post it beggars belief! Well done.

I think a stiffly written letter to Messers Cortese and request unless fans can show earnings of 30k or a birth / wedding certificate to a high earner they should be banned from the ground, as us upper class fans don't want to be close to bloody oiks like aintforever and that Sanchez fellow.

aintforever is one of the guys who say he is crazy and fun to be with but everyone else feels is a crushing bore. Dance people like me having fun, c'mon.

We lose a game and all the super fans come out, 50000 at wembley, i look round SMS and think if only we had had this in the 70's and 80's, we have more singing support than we ever have done.

the club is in great shape but we moan because only 3000 sing not 3500

I'm married and discussing earnings is uncouth, merely stating the truth. If you think earning £30,000 puts you in a bracket I will save you a seat next to me (myself voluntary and yours compulsory).

You are telling me the Dell was not rocking in the 80's?

Not always. Depended on how the team were doing - errm, just like now.

Thats true but it was better more often, terracing, culture, success or better teams, no way can St Marys be like that, not a chance.

I thought "Sanchez is right" was one of the stupidest phrases I've read on here, but you then managed to get even more idiotic after that.

I would class myself as middle class- does that mean I am not allowed to be a football fan? I didn't realise you still had to be a docker to support saints.

What about middle-class dockers?

Yeah that's it. I like a bit of an atmosphere at a footie match so I am wild and crazy everyone!

The you go Wade, the middle class (I am probably one) get all ratty and shirty, all I am saying is the atmosphere is not as good as it used to be as there are more miuddle class people going to the game, its not rocket science.

Posted (edited)

Our support at home vocally this season has been sh*te compared to the three years prior to be honest.

Are you getting me mixed up with someone else? What exactly have I said to disagree with your point?

I'm a docker, so are all my mates, and my family.

Would you really prefer to go back to the Dell days? No thanks. I think nostalgia is clouding your memory - a bit like when you day-dream about that ex-girlfriend and ponder how fantastic she was, while completely forgetting the perpetual pain and hassle she caused you.

I have not said you have disagreed with me, I have said that the atmospheres has gone down since more middle class have come in, no ones to blame its just the way it is, it does not make it better though.

In my view our support has always been like this. Fine when we're doing we'll, but quick to criticise when we struggle. Quite frankly the hysterical overreaction to the performance, result, Gaston, Adam, Jos and so on is pathetic!

not every stand or every fan

NO of course not but the atmosphere was an awful lot better than now, come on guys there is no competition, things have improved in some respects but the fundemental for me atmosphere has gone down.

No it's not awful but seems to quickly, change if we struggle at all.

Frankly you are a classic don't hardly go to games but pontificate about the atmosphere......

No I a commenting upon my experiences and you object to my opinion which is highly amusing as my take on the atmosphere is subjective.

Your opinions are you own, but I reckon you would be one of he first ones to start booing and slagging off players and so on, whether that be subjective or objective....lol
