Given his previous sentence of 7 games for an identical offence, he and they must have known he was looking at an absolute minimum of 8. Disproportionate? Hardly.

 

They've offered to reduce it to 5 provided he agrees to attend hunger management therapy classes.

 

I'm not saying its disptoportionate to the last ban, just in general to the.offence/other punishments handed down by the FA.

Looking back at articles from when the ban was handed out, his apology was heartfelt, the club made it clear straight away that no appeal would be made as he was clearly guilty,

 

Couldn't be further from the way Liverpool are going about Suarez ban,

 

I cant really remember the general feeling from Saints fans when the 10 game ban was announced...

 

 

I can remember watching that game, and being so shocked at his behaviour...attacking the ref. was really the last straw. A " highly-competative " player with a very poor disciplinary record - it was coming

.

Whereas some people want to blame (Crouch's absence) for our eventual relegation, a 10 match suspension to a key player is the sort of factor that does affect overall team performance.

 

Liverpool may now drop a few points they might have got (because Suarez is not there), but they wouldn't have got a Euro place anyway, for Saints at that time.....it was the death knell of our Prem. football.

Does anyone know of Youtube (or other website) footage of the Prutton incident. I'd be interested to re-watch it and see if it seems as bad as I remember. I'm pretty surprised it's not already available somewhere...
