slickmick Posted 2 December, 2008 Posted 2 December, 2008 Well obviously, but this suspension of new memberships aka cutting off your nose to spite your face, will cost the club much needed money. The match will go on general sale anyway so this move will save anyone wanting a ticket from wasting £20. Yes, to Saints fans on the Data base. Whereas a membership opens the door for Man Utd fans.
Mole Posted 2 December, 2008 Posted 2 December, 2008 Yes, to Saints fans on the Data base. Whereas a membership opens the door for Man Utd fans. Anyone who thinks hundreds of Man Utd fans will pay £20 plus the ticket price to see this game is deluded. It's not a European Cup final.
slickmick Posted 2 December, 2008 Posted 2 December, 2008 Lowe would obviously want us back in the Premiership, but even if we were to make it back we'd never be able to reach our potential because of the money a PLC syphons off. Take a look at how many clubs have spent beyond their means in the Premiership. The prudent ones will be the winners and for that Lowe would rightly take the credit. Cant see many fans be to unhappy if Lowe gets us back to the Prem, can you Stanley ?

forever a red and white Posted 2 December, 2008 Posted 2 December, 2008 personally i think its a good move. There won't be enough people buying memberships for one already likely highly priced game, for it to make a significant diffence to our finances short or long term. People who commited themselves at the start of the season and hve been to (x) amount of games should get prority.
