Songs that relate to Saints' "modern" era

I heard Kings and Queens by 30 Seconds to Mars today and it immediately brought back memories of our JPT win at Wembley. I think it was the song played when the players lifted the cup.

Wonderful memories. Not a fan of the band, but it's hard to dislike the song for that reason alone.

It marked the start of another, glorious chapter.

Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger played full blast when we got promoted. What could say more about a return to the big time than a song about a Scottish singers burlesque dancer wife with 'Chelsea, Chelsea' repeated many times. After that we played a couple of easy listening 80s tracks to really drown out the crowd.

Not exactly Man U with not 19 forever is it FFS Saints.

Mrs Turkish used to do the matchday music at SMS a number of years ago when she worked there and after a home win in the 2006/07 play off season where we broke into the play off places I got her to play either 'shout to the top' if we won or 'walls come tumbling down' by the Style Council if we lost, we won. I also suggested Saints come out to 'this is the one' by the Stone Roses, it was pretty popular by all accounts but Burley insisted the music was 'one vision' FFS

It's taken until post 7 for someone to say Amarillo.

It has been involved on both sides of the spectrum.

reclaiming that song from the pain it was first associated with to the derision it is now used for speaks volumes.

I bet the clueless t*ats still sing ' we sent the scummers down ' to their oppos in division 4 next year without a hint of insight.

The skids 'Saints are coming' - I know it has been used a lot over the years , but I listened to it and 'felt' it so much more over the last few as we were forging onwards and upwards, letting everyone know above us 'the saints are coming' remember that playing at the JPT as well
