dubai_phil Posted 23 April, 2013 Posted 23 April, 2013 Oh and what about the lads in Singapore? Aus? US? We just helped out a Singapore Saint who was coming back home for a week yet watches every game in one of the two Saints pubs over there. Is HE a JCL or floater?
The Kraken Posted 23 April, 2013 Posted 23 April, 2013 I've just done a little mock up for you all this evening. What does everyone think of my design I have made. Where's the f*cking statue?
Turkish Posted 23 April, 2013 Posted 23 April, 2013 Where's the f*cking statue? This is the view from the of the stadium from the first platform of the statue, just above Corteses Borgioli tassled loafers, a view from here will cost you £8.50.
simo Posted 23 April, 2013 Posted 23 April, 2013 Disc cutter , concrete , mdf, sticky back plastic and old star wars prop , done !
Horton Heath Saint Posted 23 April, 2013 Posted 23 April, 2013 8000 to 10000 sounds about right. I'm sure we would average around 36000 then sell out 42000 for the big ones. Bring it on. Along way from those days when I had a season ticket at The Dell with capacity of 15000 when all seated!
SNSUN Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 If we decide to build a new stadium, can we get Dyson Airblades fitted?
adrian lord Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 That mock up looks like terminal 7 at Heathrow. Dyson Airblades? We've got em in our bogs at home.
Mouldy Coat Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Unless we could attract a sell out crowd against sh1t teams like Exeter, I wouldn't bother even discussing the expansion plans....
Bucks Saint Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 That mock up looks like terminal 7 Would be very handy for all those new found European fans who are desperate to see Saints Can i get there from Heathrow too?
Simples Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Not from Terminal 7 at Heathrow as there isn't one
ericb Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 I'm i the only one that'd prefer a smaller ground packed each with people that actually make noise, than a bigger ground with "floating/jcl" fans that sit in silence (albeit with their club merchandise)? One of my biggest hates in the prem is how poor the atmosphere is and this is massively down to JCLs/Plastics/part timers.

A lot on here seem obsessed with attracting new fans and day trippers. I couldn't think of anything worse. Give me a smaller crowd full of fans making a racket any day.

Give me a smaller crowd full of fans making a racket any day. Looking on twitter yesterday, Saints official account was "retweeting" people who had been boasting about getting tickets for the Stoke game, I clicked on one of those people retweeted and his bio described himself as a "Kopite", sums up the modern Premier League experience really.

Like many, its one of the reasons why, apart from our successes at the time, I will look back fondly on our L1 seasons.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 We made some fabulous noise at some of those way days in L1 ! Spendid memories.
Monkou Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Until we have a waiting list of 5k or more it would be stupid to expand the stadium from a business point of veiw. Why would the club want to give up what pricing power they have?. A ticket to see southampton needs to be hard to come by.
Dalek2003 Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 I've just done a little mock up for you all this evening. What does everyone think of my design I have made. That is definitely the mother ship with the Emperor Dalek on board and half the Dalek army. Imagine a stadium full of 200,000 Daleks ! Intimidating for the opposition. Altogether now EXTERMIMNATE !
jawillwill Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Unless we could attract a sell out crowd against sh1t teams like Exeter, I wouldn't bother even discussing the expansion plans.... I'm sure you're being sarcastic, but... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8416492.stm
Charlie Wayman Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 I'm not sure if this has been mentioned previously, but with the recent attendances and sellouts for West Brom and Stoke coming up, I think provisions need to be made to expand the stadium. Around 8000 extra seats should do it for the time being (another tier on the Kingsland). Anyone had any thoughts on this? Are you for real? Do you ever read this forum? Wonder why you're the first to think about it... LOL!

Tom8558 Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 I've just done a little mock up for you all this evening. What does everyone think of my design I have made. What happened to the gravel extraction site?
adrian lord Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 'The hand of OMEGA has been located ! ' Not mine - I wear a Rolex or a Zenith on alternate days.
The9 Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Which is why I've always been of the belief that we monitor our support over two or three seasons. High numbers of season tickets, together with lots of sell outs and demand hugely outstripping supply over a sustained period. If we have that and we can prove we could regularly sell 36-40k then that is the time to expand. There really isn't any point expanding if we can only fill a bigger stadium 2 or 3 times a season. I guess part of it is the additional sales the club can get from fans on the day - there's probably more benefit to getting daytrippers in than surly, picky, regular attendees like me who never spend money in the stadium once the new kit is done for the season.
The9 Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Define Floaters? Is my brother a floater? He could only make around half the games this year due to work so decided an ST was a bad investment? Yet he had an ST since we moved to SMS Are the 20+ we now get to watch the games here in Dubai Floaters? We all get back to as many games as we can and 8 of us have ST's...? In this context it's just "people who might go to matches but don't all that often".

I agree with the curved bit on it and a 8000 expansion would suit us nicely and is a realistic price range. It would still make the stadium look nice without it looking like old trafford. Also we give the away fans about 2/3000 so that we could still have 38000 or something like that. COYR!!! COYS!!! :D :D
Saint Garrett Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 What happened to the gravel extraction site? Oh tw4t, knew I forgot something!
