Well it is for those who believe we aren't yet safe. And who cares? It might not be specifically Saints related but its good to be able to discuss the game and the main board is a more convenient place to do that given its likely to be of interest to pretty much everyone on here.

We are aiming for a top half finish, why does it matter what happens to the team in 17th?

I don't think we have any chance of going down but I hear there are some who do. They must be thoroughly enjoying this thread right now. Have some consideration for them FFS.

He's absolutely useless, a terrible signing from Fergie, rubbish player. The Japanese Tom Cleverly, or something.

This is true, as bad as cleverley and welbeck, you could also add Rodriguez and Maya to that list I suppose, and of course Benteke.

I remember we had a thread on how bad Benteke was.

Tragic

they've got have a decent team villa. Unfortunately the other half is utter shite like delph & bennett

That took me three reads before I worked out what was wrong with it! You been drinking Bearsy?

FWIW I don't mind Delph as a player, I think he's OK. Not for Saints, butI do think he's improved as the season's gone on.

This looks like a right royal tonking but I do think Man Utd will ease off the gas. 3-1 final score would be my guess.

It must be double now that 3rd goal has gone in?

This is what I was on about, they are not a bad team as such, they attack well. But defensively they are so poor, and so many young players they are pretty mentally fragile. Really not a team you want for a fight at the bottom.

At least wigan have some experience. For that reason I reckon Villa are gone

How is this Saints related? Standards on this board these days......

Because as it stands West Brom are mathematically safe, and they are our next opponents so will relax, take their eye off the ball and help us on our march towards 10th.

OK, so not really Saints related.

Very fragile, if they get a hiding tonight it could set them back, just like it did at Stamford Bridge, they then went and got hammered at home by Tottenham and Wigan. You wouldn't fancy them having to get a result at Wigan on the last day that is for sure.

My mum is aiming to win the world chess title this year
I once made the Quarter Final of an officially recognised World Championship event. The World Spoofing Championships no less Oh sorry on topic. I have as much chance of repeating that feat as Saints have of being ManUre's title contenders next year and AVFC have of beating Wigan in their last game IF they need to stay up Edited by dubai_phil

Reckon this would be 5 nil job which would would kill their confidence.

As for us, we are probably 99.9999999999999 % safe and we all know it.

You're incorrect on both counts, we have some right flappers on here with no concept of probability and we are 99.9237% likely to stay up (prior to the kick of at Old Trafford).

I have a friend with money that someone will score 10 in the Prem this season, suffice to say I'm hopeful of some early goals in Villa's net second half too.

RVP's second had a touch of the Bobby Stokes about it! They've learned from the past. If Morgan and Lambert had combined to score that goal, I'd have needed a new laptop.

First thing I thought after they'd finished celebrating it was "Saints would never score a goal like that with the current team". Rodriguez would be too deep, and Lambert would never get to the ball in time, even though he may have the striking ability.

Weimann and Lowton both have potential but very raw.

I think Weimann's made his point this season, Benteke is clearly decent and would improve us, Guzan's been very good in the face of a lot of practice, but the rest of them are at best hopefuls at this standard, and Juhhhhrrrr Bennett for one has had a nightmare season in the real world after all the Championship accolades he was getting last season.
