Remember going to Southend away in 2009/10 singing the RL song. Thought it was a bit far fetched singing "He'll take us to the PL league." How wrong I was. Curious though - have we replaced that line with something??

Think it's changed to he took us to the Premier League, but the words for that chant rarely get chanted now.

Yep that was the first time I heard it, I recall we sung it non stop for about 30 minutes in the second half and continued whilst getting absolutely drenched walking to the pub. The good old days of League 1.
