Reqding v QPR

If the game ends in a draw next week and Villa get a point or more at home to Sunderland then both Reading and QPR will be relegated whilst playing each other. Whilst it would be quite amusing of a late equaliser failed to save one of the teams but relegated the other, I can't ever remember a game where both teams could be relegated whilst playing each other. Has it happened before?

Yeah, just noticed that. Bit of a pain but in reality anything less than a win for either side and they are down on Saturday. Could still do down during their game if Villa get an unlikely point tomorrow night at Old Trafford.

Looking at the table, am I right in thinking that one of them cannot escape relegation as things stand, due to the fact that they have to play each other.

We just can't say which one at the moment.

Please bear in mind I'm sh1t at maths :p

They are 10 points behind 17th with 12 points the maximum available to the winner and 9 to the loser so whoever loses next week is down. if its a draw 10 points are available to both. They could both stay up on goal difference in that case if they win all thier other games and Villa don't get another point. Not going to happen.

The eagerly anticipated battle for who finishes bottom.

QPR will prob win, but they're both dross.

To be fair to QPR they do lack quality, it isn't the managers team, they've got a dodgy pitch that doesn't suit the way themanager wants to play, they've got some bad injuries. Under those circumstances bottom is the best they can hope for.
