Yes, but he did it in impeccable English.

Language is about understanding.

And it is on that basis that I think we should give Poch all the time in the world to get comfortable with English. ;) Lets not repeat the mistakes of the past.

Needs to take English language in the Summer.

I would want him speaking English at the start of next season.

Takes flipping ages when he is interviewed!

English language .... lessons ?....in the Summer.

I don't care if he never speaks English on camera

..as long as what he says makes sense......who cares?.

Yes, he looked like a right old scruff when the cameraman did a close-up of his half mast jeans and dodgy slip-on shoes. Sort him out Nicola!

He looks fine or do you call smart black shoes and jeans scruffy?

He doesn't shave often and has to be the scruffiest manager around on match days. He can do three week crash course during the summer. If not in Southampton, plenty of good language schools in Barcelona. His problem is he is rarely not without his Spanish speaking assistants and missus when off duty.

I totally agree....he looks a bit of a hobo. Given the money he must be on, he could at least make some effort. I'm not saying he should wear the full whistle, but at least look a bit smarter. Nicola is trying to globally brand Saints, yet he allows the key man to look like a South American Worzel.

He came from a farming background in Argentina, so perhaps he an Argentinian Ian Holloway at heart.

Sod english lessons, how about some simple fashion lessons... (Turkish?)

Our manager was wearing black shoes with Jeggings for ****s sake. On live TV.

The shame...

I've mentioned this before. The emabrassing bench coat look and now this, sinking to new depths, Slip on loafers like its 2001 FFS. He is shaming out club.

I don't think he speaks English to the players, has this been confirmed anywhere? You look at him in the press conferences, he doesn't understand a single word of any of the questions asked. You'd think if he spoke this perfect English he would at least recognise some of the questions.

You can tell that he does, in almost every interview I've seen with him.

I'm sure he doesn't speak " perfect English " ...but I've watched a number of interviews on line with squad players and they say he has no real problem communicating in training.

Puncheon had a guest spot on SSN and he confirmed that and I think Adam did also at some early stage.

on the contrary, I think he does understand a lot that they say, but this is a good way of keeping them at arm's length..It'd be more embarrassing to answer some of the questions yet not understand everyone.
