Anyone else note that Redknapp signed a random South American in a position he already has loads of cover for and has so far given him 2 minutes as a sub in the two matches he's been eligible for?

Usually that means Willie Mackay's involvement - but this time the guy's got the same agent company as Gaston.

Chevanton ? Was a decent player when he was at Monaco a few years back, had a few years in the wilderness since I think but may possess the experience that they might well need to get them over the line at the end of the season ,bit like Billy Sharp for us. Probably playing for not much money and probably isn't very fit yet.

His ease of texting is such a surprise. I don't know who the HMRC barrister and who the jury was , but they must be the most useless set of people you could gather together...not guilty lol

Especially as it was reported in the press that before the court case, he had texted Rio Ferdinand with congratulations on obtaining the England Captaincy for a match.

Heard him on talksport earlier basically saying Portsmouth spending shedloads of money wasn't his fault and his players made the club a profit when sold on.

“We live on the sea and a lot of Portsmouth boys go out fishing my way. I’d be out in my garden and I would hear the unmistakable accents. ‘You ******* scum, Redknapp.’ “I’d hear the abuse every day ringing out from the boats, even from our kitchen. They don’t hold back, the fishermen; they’re a tough group.

Fishing for skates. Portsmouth to Sandbanks is a long way to row, or do they have a fishing fleet in Portsmouth?

Maybe he also had a studio flat in Landport, you know, with Portsmouth being his spiritual home and all that.

Corrupt c*nt, compulsive bullsh*tter, and soon-to-be complete basket case. I think he actually believes his own bullsh*t half the time.

Even worse, his house overlooks Poole harbour where commercial fishing ain't not allowed.....

Actually he must have been hearing me as I go on my regular speedboat drive bys, seeing if I can spot a suitable area to throw my molotov cocktail...

A complete winker - enough said and his name should be banned from this forum. I cannot believe that an intelligent man like Rupert Lowe could ever consider employing him - well I can actually as arrogant and stupid is the worst combination in any chairman and Lowe had it in spades. .

Good on Jim White for that Telegraph article, at least the sport part of the paper has maintained its traditional high standards. None of those stories surprise me. I was waiting to see what quotes might appear about Lowe but didn't realise - although I should have guessed - that Samuels was the ghost-writer. Given Rupert has already taken Samuels to the cleaners once already in the libel courts I would imagine the tone about Harry's time at SFC could be more subdued!

More like a load if saints fans taking a fishing trip. ;-)

Let's hope we see more of that kind of article regarding Redknapp. The media have been sucking up to him for far too long

Another one here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/oct/09/harry-redknapp-fa-england-manager

Heard him on the Today programme this morning - going on about how important it is to bring on young English players, or else we just won't have an England team before too long. Luckily I was en route to work at the time - had I been drinking my morning cuppa I'd have had a tea-splattered kitchen...

After listening to him on talksport yesterday I'm going to buy the book! Yeh he left us for Pompey so what should be a good read by the sounds.

Posted

I mooned his abode in Sandbanks back in June whilst on a stag do, from the window of a stretch limosine, which gave me a quiet satisfaction.

And i will read his Ghost Written tome, but will if possible get a downloaded copy as I don't wish to give him any cash:lol: Or pehaps buy it in the bargain bin after a couple of weeks, as he may need the 50p. Or wait until it's in the charity shop, then the money can go to a good cause, like the Old Dogs Home. It what Rosie would have wanted.

I do think that they should have made him England Manager. Then the whole of England could hate him as much as we do.

oops

Steven Gerrard says he did not contact Harry Redknapp to back him for the England manager's job.

QPR boss Redknapp wrote in his autobiography, serialised in the Daily Mail, that a number of senior players, including England captain Gerrard, sent text messages of support.

But the 33-year-old Gerrard said: "I didn't text Harry Redknapp's personal phone. I have never had his number."

If you listen to Harry when he's talking, has anyone heard him talk about tactics or formations? Its all about him and little quips etc. Wherever he's been he's surrounded himself with coaches that carry him so to speak.

Roy Hodgson with all his faults, does understand the game, has tactical knowledge, and is able to discuss this with the press. We may not share the same view, but I think he's a better manager than Harry. In all likelyhood the England team would probably be in the same position with Harry, but he'd be blaming the players

Posted
Blimey whats he done to upset the press ?

They're just following suit and jumping on the bandwagon, just as they all did when he started doing well at Spurs and saying he was an obvious choice for a future England manager.

I prefer these stories.

I saw the Jonathon Ross show the other night where he was listing his guests for the next show and described 'Arry as the "people's choice for the next England manager's job" -- IS HE f^ck as like!....I think he needs to take a trip down to the south coast (except maybe Bournemouth).

Can I just say that having read the extracts of the book I can now see Harry in a new light. I always thought he was an idiot. Only now do I relaise that it was HIM that made Gareth Bale the legend he is today. It was HIM that discovered Theo Walcott. Peter Crouch would not have made it a a professional footballer had it not been for HIM. It was HARRY who gave Kenwyne Jones his shot at the big time. And it was absolutely NOTHING to do with him that P*rtsm*uth ended up in such a financial mess (it was actually the sales he took a cut of not the purchases - allegedly!)

I had to laugh at Wembley the other night the announcer said you can donate just £3 on your mobile to the Bobby Moore fund...yet then old saggy chops came on announcing it and it was a £5.....where did the other £2 go to?

Lol, Iam awaiting the media making his excuses. I'm fairly sure when he joined them they were only 4points from safety, tens of millions of pounds later they are 10points from safety

Hopefully his failure to keep us up will noq also be remembered
