hypochondriac Posted 16 April, 2013 Share Posted 16 April, 2013 From pompey online: All the best British culture comes from the underground scenes not the mainstream. The Prem might as well be run by Simon ****ing Cowell these days. The really funny thing is, deep down, the scummers know this as well. There's no fun left in the Prem, you're just a stubborn skid mark on the Premier League sh!thouse pan clinging on until the flush that removes you - and paying top dollar for the privilege. I don't think they'll be saying that after they lose to Acrington Stanley and Kidderminster.

To be fair, I agree with much of that. Had much more fun in League One and Championship. Premier League isn't the be all and end all.
whelk Posted 17 April, 2013 Share Posted 17 April, 2013 The fact that so much more coverage and can see all away games on tv. And beating the big boys is always satisfying the buzz after CIty, Liverpool, and Chelsea can never be matched in lower leagues as we always half expected to beat any of the top teams in L1 and Champ. And can only really think of 2 home games where have been completely disappointing- Sunderland and QPR Another reason: Staying up this season and the guarantee of having even more financial clout if relegated from now on will ensure far more bounce back in first season then previously. Not good overall for football IMO but hey we are in there. Imagine Phil Gartside is not pushing the Premier League no relagation motion much these days

niceandfriendly Posted 17 April, 2013 Share Posted 17 April, 2013 Lamberts first goal at City away this season. What a feeling. Playing the best teams and playing better football than them. All games on online streams!
Danish Saint Posted 17 April, 2013 Share Posted 17 April, 2013 I can name the first five: Shaw, Clyne, Morgan, Cork and Rodriguez. The future is looking bright! ...and Lallana, Lambert and Boruc is also there!
Saint Garrett Posted 17 April, 2013 Share Posted 17 April, 2013 Playing some superb football and being fearless against some top teams (also contributes to our downfall slightly!) The combination play between Morgan/Cork, Punch/Lallana/Gaston/Rodriguez/Lambert - joy to watch. Seeing Shaw and Clyne come on leaps and bounds since the start of the season and really contributing to our attacking threat.
Baldbarbarian Posted 17 April, 2013 Share Posted 17 April, 2013 Clyne & Shaw emerging as very good full backs Morgan & Cork bossing the midfield Us playing some great football Beating Liverpool 3-1 (my old man is an Evertonian) Ability to watch decent streams online when I cant make away games being proved right about Boruc
