I was sat a few seats from him in the directors box. There to watch Lallana i reckon seeing as he's at Spurs now.Luckily he didn't have a great game and he's told Harry not to bother.

I was today years old when I realised JJ played 48 games and scored 12 goals for Saints. Wow.

I was also today years old and hope to be again tomorrow.

You wont be though. You'll be today years old plus 1.

I was also today years old to learn Lawrie McMenemy could have been England manager.

I was today years old having an epiphany. If a bear with one hand claps in the woods a butterfly will knock a tree over.

think about it grasshoppers.

I was also a big fan of Joe - Joe - Joe Jord-an , catchy little tune that was.

Was it Joe Jordan who clashed heads with Joe Corrigan at the Dell,  when we beat Man City 4-1 & Steve Moran made his debut?  IIRC Corrigen got knocked out.

No that was years before, Joe Jordan joined us at the start of the 84/85 season. Moran was already a regular but then and Man City we’re in what is now the championship

Loved big Joe when he played for us, always gave 100% and was a master of the dark arts. My favourite memory is when he was chasing down a loose ball, sprinting side by side with the opo player down the touch line next to the East stand at The Dell. He gave a little nudge and the other guy ended up over the low wall and in row A, which, if you remember was below pitch level. Upon realising what had happened JJ looked over to survey the damage.  Happy with what he saw he gave a toothless grin and a clenched fist salute to the East Stand 😂

I loved Joe Jordan. One of my earliest memories of watching Saints was losing at home to Everton 2-0 and Joe scored. My friend Matt and I sang ‘there’s only one Joe Jordan’ for the rest of the game.

I was today years old when I read this thread and didn't look at the date and wondered why Joe Jordan would be scouting Lallana's caretaker management for Spurs when there's no game on.

Loved Jordan as a player at Leeds and Man U, but when he joined us from Milan he must have been 32/33 and past the peak, lots of niggly injuries.  Regardless, great player to watch and incredible target man, fearless and ruthless.  Favourite match was a freezing cold Upton Park in December 1984 - Saints in Rank Xerox with red socks, cracking combo.  WHU had beaten us 3-2 at the Dell earlier in the season and we did the reverse to them, own goal and Danny Wallace in response to a brace from Cottee - who was a bit of a tosser.  Joe really going for it , putting himself about and drawing loads of stick from the WH fans, scores the winner leaps up on the cage where the Saints fans are in shear delight shouting 'get tae fuck, get tae fuck' - happy days, more innocent times ;)
