Sour Mash Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 We've only been in the Premier League, selling out games regularly with an average over 30k for 1 of those years. Are you calling Weston Saint a liar? I'm not calling him a liar, I'm saying he's wrong if he thinks it takes two years to undertake such surveys. Surely someone with Cortese's ambition and forward planning would have had work on the ground started as soon as possible, so we'll be ready to take advantage of all the extra income we're now missing out on? It must be costing the club a fortune?
Matthew Le God Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 So are you suggesting Cortese wanted to wait and see what our attendances would be like for a couple of seasons in the premier league before deciding if expansion was nessasary? It really seems you can't read today! No, I was saying that to do the things Weston Saint was talking about "investigations (surveys) into traffic (road & walkers) impact on surrounds etc", you need to do it over a prolonged period of high attendances and sellouts we are now having. Something that didn't happen in League One or the Championship and can only be done now.

Especially the latter playing in a souless bowl. Got a good mate who is a Boro fan and he hates going there.

Because on this thread here, which was ironically almost exactly a year ago you seemed to think work would already have started by now. We could expect to see it "soon". I take it a year isn't "soon" even though you go onto state work might have started in 2013, you know, this year. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?37346-St-Mary-s-What-we-might-expect-to-see-happen-(and-possibly-announced-soon) You obviously didn't take into account that it would take 2 years to do investigations and surveys about traffic. It seems to suggest in this statement "So given the planning application length and the length of construction we might see work over 2013 and 2014 perhaps?" that planning persmission should already be in, if not work just about to start or be already in progress. it must be down to the investigations, not down to the chairman wanting to see what attendance we get to ascertain if expansion is nessasary.

Plus, we had plenty of high attendances last season where data could be collected.
bender Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 I might have a spare child's ticket which only cost me the £1.50 admin fee. Does anyone know the process for upgrading a child's seat to an adults one?
LGTL Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Mate has a spare adult ticket in Block 4. PM me if interested and I can get him in contact with you.
iamasaint Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Hello all, my name is Kelvin and I am from Singapore. I have been a saints fan since 83/84 and am a silent reader of this forum. I have been visiting St Mary's at least once a year for the past 7 years to catch a game. I have made plans to come by next Saturday for the West Bromwich game. However, the game is now sold out. I have been traveling quite a bit and do lot always have access to the net (plus I forgot my customer number!) sigh. I am looking for just one adult ticket. If anyone has or knows someone who can spare one, please contact me via pm or email me at kelvinkoh@lightedpixels.com thanks!!!

Smirking_Saint Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Jesus christ what school do you teach at MLG ? Can you even imagine the parents evening
whelk Posted 17 April, 2013 Posted 17 April, 2013 As a neutral I would say both MLG and Turkish have issues. Maybe if I was in a lighter mood it would be amusing but looks desperate. You can win an argument without emerging with credit boys.
