My opinion remains the same as the Chelsea fan situation a few weeks ago,if you're an away fan sat in the home end and decide to celebrate like a **** when your team scores then you deserve what you get.

Agree, it's not hard to avoid trouble if you use your brain.

You don't cheer if you're in the home end. Just like you don't cheer if you're a West Ham fan in a Southampton pub; a guy I was sat near today nearly got ****ed up.

You've really got to be some sort of special f*cktard to openly celebrate an away goal in the home end. No sympathy, they shouldn't be there in the first place and they know that.

He turned round to the crowd, arms aloft and cheered once he'd been found out. Anyone that is that stupid needs a clip round the ear (hard.) to teach them a lesson!

Indeed. If you heard tales of a Saints fan who went away and cheered a goal in the home end I'd be amazed if they didn't come away with a slap for their troubles at best. It doesn't necessarily make it right, but you should know well enough to not do it in the first place, or you will get yourself in trouble.

Bullsh1t,they sit together in rugby why is football different, why do a small majority become bellends at football

Because football is a tribal sport and the banter between segregated fans is what makes the atmosphere what it is. Everyone knows the rules, its not difficult.

There were 2 of them jumping around - then started egging on the fans around them

until finally a few Saints fans had had enough of them and put them straight.

Not Saints fans at fault these 2 were complete tw8ts and got what they deserved.

If we don't concede it's not an issue, can I blame Fox?

I have sat in home ends a number of times, and as long as you are not a WUM or offend the locals = no issue.

Openly celebrate goals and goad the home support = kicking.

Could have been worse. Millwall fans decided to have a ruck amongst themselves and the police at Wembley today (after giving Pompey a pasting at Waterloo station).

Stay classy Millwall...

This is a point that shouldn't be overlooked. But as for the thug in the cap that then moved over from several seats, maybe even from a different row, to get involved, just why?

I have a mate at the game,he reckons Chelsea and West ham got tickets in the Milwall end, hence the reason it kicked off.he reckons it was total carnage down there

A woman in the Kingsland/Chapel corner got taken out by a steward, she argued, removed her West ham scarf, put it in her bag and was allowed back to her seat.

Not sure where Millwall get their reputation from.

In fairness to them I met up with a couple of their lads i know in the pub where they were all drinking down here last season. They were all properly sound and made me feel very welcome.

So why don't you go troll their board then.

Yes thanks good of you to join in to back up your troll chum

Stay on topic please, troll. We don't need your banal arguing here.

Back on topic after it got needlessly derailed. Apparently there was an altercation of West Ham and Millwall fans in the Frog and Parrot, of all places. Most odd.

The three Hammers fans behind us in the Chapel were, credit to the stewards, swiftly dealt with.

If you're going to sneak tickets in the home end, bite your tongue, no matter how much emotion you want to let out. I've done it, it's not impossible.

As for Millwall, well, what more needs to be said. I was listening to TalkSport in the car and while it sounded like Collymore was making a big deal out of it, the photos above prove it was nasty. Shocking in this day and age, and no doubt Wigan's triumph will be overshadowed by it in the papers tomorrow.

I got the pics from F365 forum and the thread on it there suggests the pictures don't even get close to pointing out how bad it actually was. Properly nasty, by all accounts.

I have watched us away from home whilst in the home crowd several times. On the rare occasions we scored or won I celebrated inwardly and have therefore never been beaten up by the home fans. If I had celebrated when we scored and had been consequently beaten up by the home fans all about me I could not and would not have complained.

can I just confirm that it was 'fighting' in the Kingsland and not just 'shouting' in the Kingsland.

the two do get muddled on here quite a lot.

The stewards in the Kingsland were poor. Those west ham fans had been pointed out after they stood up and clapped their substitution it was clear that if they scored they were gonna bate the saints fans, a guy several rows back was yelling at the stewards but they just ignored it

I assume they were dressed immaculately?

Plenty of anti social drunken behaviour before during and after Rugby matches, But as they are Public Schoolboys its put down to letting off steam.

most if the incident was two fellas pushing/grappling each other, but punches were thrown before Police intervened

"Grappling" is such a woefully under-used word these days.

I hark back to my days as a nipper watching the wrestling on ITV, and being greeted by the opening intro: "Welcome, grapple fans". Heady days.

Apparently it was known for my nan to regularly go to the Guildhall to watch the wrestling and be seen running down the aisles swinging her handbag at the dirty rotters in the ring

Genetics. I never had any chance after that.

Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, Dave 'fit' Finlay etc on world of sport. Those were the days...

Kendo Nagasaki was my favourite. Mick McManus was a dirty grappler.
