Lets B Avenue Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 I'll agree with Roger and give it to Morgan. What's that you say?
UpweySaint Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 If Benteke is up for young player he'll get it I reckon; heard the other day he's got 18 goals this season which is a really decent haul for a sh*t team. Really good player, Villa fans I've heard on the radio seem to love him. True he has been impressive, actually took a villa fan to our home tie against them and he was the only positive for them. Strikers do tend to do well in awards but Morgan's stats dont lie If he doesnt win oh well, less media attention on our star player!
NickG Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Morgan and Shaw. Perhaps Morgan could even have a chance for PFA Young Player of the Year. Isn't that for players up to the age of 23? Or am I getting carried away here? Who could other candidates be? Wellbeck, Bale, Walcott, hazard, oscar?
UpweySaint Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Wellbeck, Bale, Walcott, hazard, oscar? Wellbeck has barely scored, Oscar has been v patchy, Hazard has been good but outshone by Mata by some way. Theo, Bale, Benteke and Morgan the candidates surely? Two ex saints, a saint and the beast that is Benteke.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Morgan for me. Not only one of our stand out performers, but in my opinion one of the leagues stand out performers this season. This stats back this up. Not taking anything from Rickie & Cork, who I also think have been brilliant, but Morgan tops it for me. Special mention for him upping his goal haul too. Shaw YPOY by a country mile. The strength, composure & dynamism shown for a 17 y/o is staggering. Clyne has been fantastic too - £2m for him is an absolute bargain. Mention too for JWP, some good glimpses, especially being throw in against some heavyweight opponents. Shown enough to suggest he can have a bright future, I hope he continues to develop with us, and moves onto the be a first XI regular.

Dr. Kucho Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Player of the season: Schneiderlin, closely followed by Lambert, Cork and Clyne. Young player of the season: Shaw.
RedArmy Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Lambert. 14 Premier League goals, and he's played mostly as a lone striker. Says it all really, he's class.
Ian the Red Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Ricky or Morgan - both have been consistent all season and both are our best two players by far!
Saints Fan Dan Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Cork has been the major difference between our poor start and our revival. But it still would go to Lambert. You always think he's so good already, how can he possibly get any better? And then, just like that, he surpases himself once again. A true Saints legend, our greatest player since Le Tissier, a real hero for younger fans and a top bloke.
Hamilton Saint Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Player of the Season? Tough choice as of now between Schneiderlin and Lambert. If Schneiderlin had scored a few more goals he'd be the easy choice. Also. 0ur season seemed to turn decisively for the better once Boruc and Cork becamer regulars in the team. Shaw wins easily for Young Player of the season.

Joensuu Posted 10 April, 2013 Share Posted 10 April, 2013 Think Lambert would win this if this were his first season with us. He's been phenomenal, but we've come to expect this from him. Having said that, Morgan has really rounded his game this season, he's become a complete defensive midfielder, and probably our most valuable player (only Shaw comes close). I think Morgan would win any vote hands down. No real point discussing young player of the season. Any other season and Clyne would have stormed it; but who could look further than Shaw? simondo Posted 11 April, 2013 Share Posted 11 April, 2013 Morgan will probably get it (and deserve it) but the overall turning point for Saints was when Cork came back into midfield and Shaw replaced Fox. so for me... Cork & Shaw
Redbul Posted 11 April, 2013 Share Posted 11 April, 2013 I think Morgan has had an outstanding season this year, he gets my vote for player of the season with Lambert a close second. Shaw defo for young player of the year.

captainchris Posted 11 April, 2013 Share Posted 11 April, 2013 Lambert and Shaw. Lambert is central to all we do his goal scoring and link up play are class an immense figure in the team. The player I always enjoy watching watching the most though is Adam Lallana, his individual skill is higher than any other player in the team for me... musesaint Posted 19 April, 2013 Share Posted 19 April, 2013 Morgan for me - we should start a campaign to get him to take British nationality - he's been here long enough! Since we have 5 games left, and J Rod will score 10 goals in them, expect him to be a late runner by May! #FACT
