Ohio Saint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 I see what you mean about the Rocky aspect, but really, that is an excellent article. He has described Ricky perfectly and made a great job (even scathing) of his comparison to Holt. I thought it was a really good read, despite my obvious bias.
Bearsy Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 ricky LAMBART & The Fairy ricky LAMBART was an orphan but he was really a prince but he didn't know that so he was working in betroot factory yo (do they really make beetroots in factory i thought they grew in ground - mods please check) One day a fairy come to him & said lols u so fat ricky stop eating all them beetroots yo. So ricky did and he played football and scored goals and everyone was v.happy. Then another fairy got made england manager and he thought danny wellbecks was more good than ricky LAMBART so he never got to play world cup yo. THE END
bpsaint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Good article that, nice to see others recognising how Rickie is so much more than just a big man up front. I do wonder, and I wonder if Rickie does, what a player he could have been if he'd knuckled down at an earlier age? Oh and is that a genuine quote from Grant Holt? What an arrogant **** if so.

THE END You've been watching Once Upon a Time again haven't you Bearsy. I warned you all.Oh no, that Pap tried to get all serious, but I warned you.... Rickie IS Prince Charming - Fact. Worryingly he is now in a sleeping Curse and won't score again until True Loves Kiss. Where's Roger when we need him?
Graffito Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 http://www.football365.com/f365-features/8627394/Forget-England-Lambert-s-Fairy-Tale-Is-Written Makes him sound like the footballing equivalent of Rocky haha Really good article and it hits the nail on the head with the main reason why he probably won't get an England call up. Rooney is sacrosanct isn't he?
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 **** Roy Hodgson . I hope he doesn't get a call up as it will only **** his game up. Let's keep him all to our self and let Roy carry on with his genius call ups.
suewhistle Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 ["It would mean everything to me ...," was Lambert's chosen reply.] Wouldn't it just! I saw his first Premiership goal, and I was sooo pleased for him as well as Saints in his obvious joy.
Truesaint Posted 10 April, 2013 Posted 10 April, 2013 Good well written article. As much as i want to keep him for ourselves, along with my distaste for the whole England selection process and the media rubbish that accompanies that. I still think it would be a just reward, and would love to see the pride on his face if he was given a brief cameo appearance in a friendly. Lets face it if any player deserves it its him. His humility and attitude deserve it.
