Saints Mad Si Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 Don't know if this has been posted anywhere but just checking through odds checker and came up with this, seems a bit strange after a poor performance against us Saturday and with the comments he made afterwards. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/adam-le-fondre/club-after-summer-transfer-window
kpturner Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 Jeez - I hope we do better than that if we do sign another striker!
Saint Garrett Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 No thanks, think I'd rather have sharp back. Reckon he'll go WBA if any prem team wants him.
scotty Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 Probably just speculative odds. Reading are as good as down so he probably wont stay there, (either because he doesn't want to drop back to the champ or because Reading need the money,) we apparently have money to spend, and Southampton isn't too far away so he wouldn't have to relocate. Hey presto - we're favourites to sign him.
pingwing Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 I hear West Ham are in the market of buying over rated rubbish...
Lighthouse Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 I would have loved to have got him from Rotherham when Reading did and at £350k he was a bargain for what he has delivered. I'm sure if we got him instead of giving Connolly another year we'd have won the league. He has been a decent sub for Reading this year but that's about the limit of his talents if you ask me. An impact player for a bottom half team. We should be aiming higher if we have serious European ambitions next year. He is a good finisher and will get goals but does little else. No presence, no pace, very little trickery. He would be best suited staying where he is and trying to bring Reading back up next year.
Saint Garrett Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 I really don't think he is good enough for this league.
L1Minus10 Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 As a striker in the Prem you need to be able to play up front on your own otherwise you'll always be a bit part player. He proved on Sat that he isn't capable of playing up on his own. Would rather have Billy Sharp back to be honest.
Colinjb Posted 8 April, 2013 Posted 8 April, 2013 To echo prior comments, would rather have Sharp. Remember watching him at Hereford and wondering what all the fuss was about. Le Fondre has a wonderful habit of being in the right place at the right time though. It's a shame he forgot he was a professional footballer at the worst possible time on saturday.
BadgerBadger Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Whenever I hear or read his name I think of Napoleon Dynamite
old_southy Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Glenville Adam James le Fondre can do one if he thinks he is coming here.
Didcot Saint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Cocksure little ****. Oh and bye the way, he's ****
LaptopSaint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 His miss on Saturday at 0-0 made me laugh out loud. Brilliant.
saints-cris Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Just dont see how he would fit into how we play at all. Not fussed
Window Cleaner Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Just dont see how he would fit into how we play at all. Not fussed Doubt if we'll buy any GB players at all. MP needs a special kind of player for key roles in his system. Fortunately for him we had a fair number of those already.
Cabrone Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 A decent goal scorer but I'm not sure of he has much else. Would suit a lower prem team - just not us. What we need is a pacy CF that could work alongside JRod when Ricky hangs up his boots.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 A What we need is a pacy CF that could work alongside JRod when Ricky hangs up his boots. perhaps we have some of those in the youth squads. Aren't there some promising hotshots just waiting for their chance to shine on the PL stage?
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Don't know if this has been posted anywhere but just checking through odds checker and came up with this, seems a bit strange after a poor performance against us Saturday and with the comments he made afterwards. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/adam-le-fondre/club-after-summer-transfer-window Do they have no clue about what Cortese is trying to achieve down here?!
skintsaint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Probably end up at one of the newly promoted sides if he did move on.
Window Cleaner Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 No thanks. He's not as good as he thinks he is in fact if Kebé and Roberts weren't serial sicknotes this season I'm not sure that ALF would be a starter. Kebe is a handy player. Him I wouldn't mind us signing.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Probably end up at one of the newly promoted sides if he did move on. spot on
Window Cleaner Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Probably end up at one of the newly promoted sides if he did move on. Or West Ham, they're alway in the market for strikers, perhaps they could trade one of their many failures for him.
bender Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 No thanks. He seems like a cvnt. and he looks like a rodent.
SNSUN Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 He'll stay at Reading IMO. Adkins seems to have faith in him over Pogrebnyak (who no doubt will be off in the summer anyway) and Hunt.
Appy Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 in fact if Kebé and Roberts weren't serial sicknotes this season I'm not sure that ALF would be a starter. Kebe is a handy player. Him I wouldn't mind us signing. I would, Kebe is a championship player.
Crab Lungs Posted 9 April, 2013 Posted 9 April, 2013 Decent little striker. Why so bitter towards him? :-/
