The opening poster thinks we signed a player for £6 million and are paying him a measly £10k p/w :D

The likes of Barnard and Seaborne on loan at League One clubs are on £10k p/w ffs

Amazing how many West Ham fans think Saints are a tiny club compared to them and are also unaware of the ambitions and resources of Liebherr/Cortese. West Ham still think themselves as "the academy of football", over the last 10 years Saints have a far better track record of producing players.

Any West Ham fan from KUMB reading this need to look at the £37m Saints spent this season, average attendance of circa 31k plus...

I'd rather have a purposely designed football stadium than the Olympic Stadium!

Shouldnt you be signing up to their forum to go and correct them? It's what you normally do.

Yeah but the big advantage of their new stadium over ours MLG is that theirs is real and ours is just gossip from people that do St Mary's tours or post on architecture forums.

Theirs isn't real yet, still along way from being ready. But yes they are further down the line than us.

If West Ham were at the Olympic stadium and Saints developed St Mary's to look like those pictures from AFL, which would you prefer to watch a game of football at?

Posted
Saints are also now £100 million in debt, but hey, it's great to gamble!!

Ignoring the fact that this is utter tripe..... what utter hypocrisy!!!

Whats the issue ? They are arguing about a transfer policy that we all agreed was random, Big Sam has spent a lot on meagre attacking talent, Carroll isnt worth the cash and forces them to play a certain way, maiga has dissapeared, ditto chamakh

The problem is they still think they are bug time, and also that we are in debt (random) when in reality they are in more financial termoil than us. If they get the olympic stadium then fair play, itll be terrific for them but in reality regardless of history we are currently pretty similar sized clubs

Forums also attract weirdo's they have some, we have MLG and his mock ups of a future that may or may not happen.

Plus, they dont watch J Rod, the same as I dont Jarvis, personally I dont think Jarvis is worth what they paid, but I do t watch him regularly enough so cant really comment. Ditto them vs J Rod who is starting to look everything he should for a young 7 mil player

I won't derail this thread by going down 'that topic' with you, it will just encourage Turkish later. Of course the dream stadium would be better but theirs is a lot more likely to happen than ours as the stadium is already there.

It is a little bit like saying, would you rather fly to Australia on a 747 or on this imperial star cruiser?

WHU will have the best stadium in the prem imho - that includes OLD T

As always, posters on websites such as these don't reflect the opinion of the majority. WHU fans in general care as much about JayRod as we care about Carroll. I, for one, don't begrudge them their stadium or their place in the PL. I'm just grateful we don't have to watch the hoof ball served up by BFS - except this upcoming Saturday of course. The Olympic stadium will be magnificent and they are getting it on the cheap. Credit to them for that.

Star cruiser, I don't care how unrealistic it is dammit I want my star cruiser.

in your opinion

Quite. Having been there a few times now it is just as soulless as any modern place and the atmosphere even worse than 'the library' Highbury. Nice corporate facilities but these horizontally bisect the banks of fans right around the entire perimeter creating a natural 'break' in the spread of songs and atmosphere across the staduim, rather like a fire break stops the spread of bush fires. It is no coincidence in my view that they've won **** all since going there. Not the full story, but an overlooked factor.

Hi MLG

What is it about sitting in our new fictional stadium that you like so much? Why is it better than sitting in West Hams new semi fictional stadium? Apart from the neck ache of course.

The Emirates is the best stadium in the Premier League and still will be after West Ham move.

In your opinion no?

Any excuse to post those pictures MLG ! lol

They are a strange bunch though West Ham fans. They're a bigger club than us, but really don't have a transfer policy. It's in a way similar to QPR but on a smaller scale. Buy 'prem players' who are on big wages but are generally big club rejects. Certainly be interesting to see what happens with them in the summer. I remember being old constantly last year when they signed Ravel Morrison from Man Utd, that he would get them promoted and then be key this season in the prem....Has he even played a first team game yet ?

You could argue that we spent a lot this season, and we have for a club of our size. But they have been investments as well as being part of a transfer policy. Young technically talented players who we can groom into the way we want to play. The problem with signing older more established players coming from bigger clubs is that they are less likely to want to learn and think they have already made it. Add to that they're already on huge wages with nothing to prove, they're probably not the kind of personalities that we want at our club.

I did used to like West Ham, but their fans are generally morons, and I cannot stand the way they play. Add to this staying up a few years ago down to Tevez who they didnt even own, and then spending over their means last season, being £100m odd in debt and still spending, and then now getting this top drawer stadium for barely anything, just makes me respect them much much less.

I always said last season and the start of this season, that I would much rather go down playing great football with some upcoming exciting talent, than set up for a short term plan like WHU and QPR have done.

I'll be surprised if we don't finish above them for the next few years atleast.

Why are we bothered about the Hammers views on JRod? They've only seen him play once this season. We might as well discus what Jodie Marsh thinks of DEFRA or H from Steps views on the large hadron collider.

Posted

Clicked the link. Gave up on page 1. Five pages about one of our players says all you need to know. Don't they know we've got 10 others they could argue over?

What I love is the rubbish their fans spout about being a big club. I don't think they realise that outside of Green Street nobody really a) gives a **** or b) thinks they're a big side. Laughable.

Oh and if they want to know Gazanigga was £1m, not £3m, so that takes it down to £28m. And we're not £100m in debt.

Think it's quite funny, the original poster makes a good point about West Ham's somewhat clouded transfer policy. As someone else mentioned they are like QPR light, they buy premiership experience players, regardless of price and age and players fat sam knows, they rarely give a chance to youngster these days either. It's all down to their manager really though, fat sam is one of those managers who keeps you up at the expense of progression, but that's the best it will get, although I suppose Bolton and Blackburn have suffered since his loss. Can't see them progressing under him, I would have thought they will struggle next year and the half empty olympic stadium will do them no favours.

Paulo Gazzaniga - £3 million

WTF?

lol @ £100 million in debt as well, where are these West Ham fans getting their info from?

What makes me laugh, is that there is no doubt, some melt on the Southampton website right now, banging on about how they should have got Diame,
Hmmmn maybe but Cork/Morgan are better.

or that maybe Jarvis is better value than Ramirez

Hell no.

or maybe they should have got James Collins instead of that Japanese fella.

Nope.

It is an athleitics stadium tarted up after the event as a football stadium, so hardly likely to be the best! The Emirates was designed as a stadium with nothing but football in mind and therefore knocks the socks of Westhams where square pegs and round holes come to mind!

Slightly related, but not really all that related, point: Can anyone really believe that Fat Sam was previously touted for the England job?

I think we should all just acknowledge that the original poster is from here.... and salute the man for an epic trolling job well done... He has successfully stirred up a hornets nest in textbook manner! Skillfully done I must say.

On a side note.

West ham are a joke of a football club, there forum fans are so deluded its unreal. Although tbf, I know a lot of west ham fans who steer clear of KUMB as a matter of course because everyone on their is a ****** apparently. :D

Yeah he really found his level tearing Reading apart

conveniently overlooking the goals against Liverpool and Chelsea

They could only manage a draw against L'pool and lost 2-0 to Chelsea, they're easy games for teams like Saints

Strange you say that, a few of my mates go on WestHamOnline.net as they said the same about KUMB!
