70's Mike Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 about our Home Support, should have been at Reading today. Or maybe they should not have because they would be suicidal if they were Reading fans. They are the worst bunch I have ever come across God help Nigel trying to motivate that lot
voteforpedro Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 I notice the BBC article puts todays attendance at 24,108 in a stadium that holds 24,200. Looked like a few more empty seats than that to me!
ottery st mary Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 Someone correct me if wrong..... The attendance includes all season ticket holders even when not in attendance..
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 Did they not sell 17k season tickets Or was that Norwich ? If so look s like non of them turned up lol
Appy Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 There was hundreds of empty seats in the stand directly opposite us.
SuperMikey Posted 6 April, 2013 Posted 6 April, 2013 The ground was basically empty by the 85th minute. I know we get a fair few leave SMS before the final whistle and Reading's situation is pretty dire, but how fickle do you want to be? Jesus.

They are the worst bunch I have ever come across God help Nigel trying to motivate that lot Not surprising. Their most vociferous fan was the co-commentator on the overseas PLTV feed today = Gary O'Reily.
paulwantsapint Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 They must be massive the supposedly missing 53 fans
brmbrm Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 Must say i don't see me being that noisy having had to watch that all year, then watching them throw n the towel when the going gets tough.
rooney Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 Reading fans so quiet and stadium so empty whilst watching on Sky. They certainly did not get behind NA pre match appeal to get behind the team!
Charlie Wayman Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 It was probably people voting with they feet. No dsirepect to Nigel but replacing MacDermott with him was hardly a signal of intent for the future. They are supposed to have a megabucks Russian owner but there is no sign of having much more backing or ambition than any other English second tier club - might as well be Huddersfield, nice stadium no footballers.
Graffito Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 The empty seats at kick off wasn't good but leaving early is understandable. They were well beaten and effectively down by then. They know they aren't good enough.
FarehamRed Posted 7 April, 2013 Posted 7 April, 2013 I was in their East Stand (to the right of the Saints fans) and the atmosphere was totally flat before and during the game. That sometimes does happen with a early kick-off, but I was expecting a far more difficult afternoon than I got - particularly as it was such a big game for them. The vast majority of them had already thrown in the towel. The people around me were agreeing that there was not a single Reading player who would get in to our 1st team.
