Come on, let's relegate Stoke on the last day.

I can see where you're coming from on this... But Stoke are one of those clubs that game-wise I just don't get. It's been pointed out on here that it's a myth that they're "plucky Stoke," they've spent a lot of money on some very average players, played some decidedly ugly football and

generally do little to enhance the league.

That said I can think of several teams I'd like relegated above them.

Reading, their fans are an absolute joke. Leaving after 75 minutes, waving back at us when we sang "cheerio" and generally being pretty ****..

QPR, need I say more

Wigan, considering the money that Whelan has pumped into the club, their attendances are pathetic. You're in the Premiership, act as if it means something..

West Ham, just carrying on from last season, you're not a big club. Stop acting as if you are. Oh and Allardyce is the anti christ.

Can't really disagree with any of this.

Not the first time I see that list But evry time I do I feel sorry for Wenger. For all the crap he gets for not winning thropies he has to do it on a budget. Yes they can afford to pay big wages but not as big as Manu, Chelsea and City and when it comes to buying players the gap is even bigger. This list also vindicates to a degree our transferpolicy. Yes we've spend a lot of money but almost all of them are players where we can expect a return on our investment. As for sending them down, I'm a bit undecided. They have better support then many other teams which is a plus but they also play dinosaur football with a lot of their matches not worth 5 mnutes on MotD. They're the total opposite of Wigan who play nice football but as a club offer nothng else.

"Plucky" Stoke have spent £88m on players last 5 seasons, thats the 3rd highest net avg in the league.

The very rarely buy players with any re-sale or profit potential. image.jpg

....and several of the players they did buy in were former Saints' ....Higgie, Crouch, Delap and Beattie...and there was not much possibility of re-sale for any of those guys.....money they'll ever see again.

Quite ironic really that for the majority of the season I thought we'd have to beat them on the last day to stay up, now it looks like it could be the other way round. Really hope they go, along with Reading and Wigan I really don't like them. hole in the ground place with a team full of rejects and a clueless manager. They make West Ham look like Barcelona

So, Martinez to Stoke and Pulis to Wigan then. Job done. :D

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that the Gooners are sitting on £126m cash reserves.

Take your point and I think Arsenal have a more sensible, realistic approach than the other top sides but don't feel too sorry for Wenger, the budget is big enough to pay him more than any other manager gets paid in the PL.
