I've got a hunch Nige will be fine.

And, yes, we are better off because of Thatcher.

Nigel will be fine in the NPC, it's his level. Expect them to finish comfortably mid-table there next season. When he has a side full of exceptional talent as he did at Saints we shall see how he gets on with it. In the meantime he's got a bunch of plodders so I wouldn't expect any miracles. Still he got Guthrie, one of his summer targets perhaps.

What about his performance at Scunny before he came to us? Think that answers your question well enough.

can't say I get your point, weren't they a bit of yo-yo side between the CCC and League 1 ?

Yeah, you're right, his performances there were widely regarded as useless, which is why we went for him as our new manager......

I heard, at the Chelsea game, a rumour that Cortese will be gone in the Summer due to the owners not liking the way NA was treated.

Have no idea how strong this is but it has, apparently , come from a reasonably high profile supporter, via a friend of friend etc.

I very much doubt that this is true in the slightest.

2 promotions in 4 years as well as keeping Scunny up with a microscopic budget? That's a fantastic record any way you slice it.

At the end of the day, what we want from our chairman are sound finances and a good, progressing football team. To me, it seems like we got both. Absolutely trust Cortese.

Absolutely, I'd trust him to rent my home from me if he needed it and wouldn't even get a tenancy agreement drawn up or ask for a deposit.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about the conflict he has with Benali.

whn I hear MLT giving the" Cortese chant " - I'll really believe it ....

He won't - but that is because it is a seriously embarrassing, sh 1 te chant that has no place in a our armoury of chants/songs

I think his level could well be the prem. was showing signs if that before. Don't just say he isn't up to it. Mp has brought us on but don't forget Nigel's good work.

Yes I have been told exactly the same thing - my source says that NC has 'fallen out' with the Liebherrs. We will see!

sounds like a lot of old bolloaks, doubt if "the Liebherrs", whoever that may be these days, actually take any interest in the club.

SFC=Cortese. Nearly everything Markus ever owned or created is run by Cortese.

Don't take this the wrong way.

I'm genuinely curious, how do you know this? Is this definitely the case?

because Markus's major company ,Mali Internation AG is run by Cortese and a Zurich administrator called Werner. It's public domain stuff, anyone can look it up.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't doubting you or anything.

As I said, genuinely curious.

Cortese is a goal orientated ruthless buisness man, he knows where he wants to get to and will make his way there! So far he has done little wrong

I for one have been enjoying the ride long may it continue!

Like what you did there!

I like the fact we have someone who gives a sh1t and takes action when needed.

Absolute nonsense. Wishful thinking from the Dark Forces.

exactly; The Liebherrs are way way way in the background nowadays, not sure that they actually own anything anymore.

Everything's been consolidated and liquidated and what's left is run by Cortese and a Swiss administration lawyer. Suspect the Liebherrs got all the money and Cortese got everything else.

Whilst the way NC disposed of NA services left a bitter taste his judgement does seem an awful lot better than mine!

It's football nowadays, if you have ambition and yer man ain't getting the job done you get someone else. Cortese was apparently concerned about Adkins knowledge (or lack of ) the upper spheres of football. It's all in an interview Morgan gave to L'Equipe or one of it's reporters at the end of last month. Not going to put it up here in case some of the contents don't please but he's pretty straightforward when replying about some things. Morgan has become a bit of a media darling in France since he's become the Number 1 rated Frenchy in the PL (on stats...they like stats) and there are a lot of interviews kicking around.

Think he's even got his own programme on tele this coming Sunday...L'Equipe de Dimanche.

Would love to know how these "prominent" fans actually hear stuff like this rumour. I doubt the Liebherrs and Cortese are telling these people anything.

they hear what they want to hear I guess. Did you not follow all the bolloaks overheard by Long Shot at the bookies at Doncaster?

They make up crap and spread it generously.

Hadn't seen this (which I guess is the article you're referring to)

Going to be an interesting summer.

It's a good read that, but funnier if just read through the google translated version after searching for it.

Indeed, this bit stands out

"The nice Morgan loves a little buggers sometimes?"
