Not in public, and completely understandable. I remember living in France. I would be perfectly comfortable speaking conversational French with friends, but good enough to try it in front of a camera with a bunch of critical strangers watching?.......Never gonna happen!

 

He always looks comfortable talking to the players, and they always look like they understand him just fine....Not a problem at all in my book.

I agree some peeps are better at learning languages (i learnt French in 2 weeks) than others, some are also more confident than others.

 

Speaking to a few fans recently though and they are asking when will he be confident and able? He's had 3 months now they say. Do they have a point? I always say..... Who cares as long as we win

Exactly. 3 months from zero English speaking is nowhere near enough experience to talk to cameras. He was hired to manage the team, not the media.

Not much said, short interview

 

- look for the positives

- we are where we are

- good energy in spells

- ALF scores and its a different game

- Saints 1st goal could have been disallowed on another day

- must work hard on the training ground

I heard him on the Sky site....it sounded like his standard output from last Autumn ........".take out the positives, move on to the next game etc, etc, "
