Saint_Ash Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 If he can stay injury free, bent has another 3-4 years in him. Natural goal scorer and would improve our team. Snap him up on a nominal fee and cut his current wages in half.

Batman Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 True dat...... Lost alot of rep points last season. Still think he's more suited to Newcastle or WHU than us isnt he the sort of front man that would latch on the the through balls Gaston wants to make? Olallana Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 There is no way Bent will take a big pay cut. I think his only option in the end will be Newcastle cause they might be prepared to pay something near his wages today. We will never pay those wages for a player like that. We might for a new star player but not in his age and status in the game at the moment.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 I'm not dismissing him as a poor player because he is a proven PL goalscorer, but at 29, I just can't see Cortese looking at Bent.

Might even get him on a free and pay him a big signing on fee to keep his weekly wage down. If I understand it right villa will also have to pay him off as he hasn't handed in a transfer request. Bewildered Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 Keegan was the England captain and reigning European footballer of the year, Defoe well...umm... isn't. Defoe has more england pedigree than any player we've had since keegan we should be privileged to have such an experienced international choose to join us should it happen yet no doubt most on the internet and the radio phone ins will whine that we didn't sign the latest foreign 21 year old who they've only seen play on their video game. Delmary Posted 1 July, 2013 Share Posted 1 July, 2013 http://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/valencia-banega-rinnova-o-va-via-461863 There are no certainties in the future of Argentine midfielder Ever Banega, Valencia. According to the Spanish press the player must choose between renewing his contract with the Spanish or transfer. If you were choosing the latter option, the Southampton is in pole to make sure you

On Banega, class ' 88 arrived from Atletico Madrid, has set his sights on Southampton, but might also think about the Napoli, who had already followed in recent market Windows as well as Fiorentina.
