MP had no trouble with him in Espanyol. What did people think of Punch a year ago?

Who did punch punch? This is a little different than not wanting to play.

In all seriousness the last thing we need is a player with a reactionary temper.

Stephen Hunt released by Wolves. HCDAJFU?

Career has gone downhill since the Cech incident but would be worth a trial in pre season. Has a fire in his belly and passion that we sadly lacked last season.

Really ?! He's nowhere near good enough for us IMO/

once again I think that many posters just do not realise just how good you have to be to play in the PL these days.

Many PL players of 4 or 5 years back would struggle to get into the better championship sides in our day and age.

Surman for instance, Wolves were in the PL when they signed him I think but he just didn't make the grade despite many opportunities at both Wolves and Norwich. Good player but just not up to the PL in 2012/13

Agree - Delap is a good example of that, and probably someone like Chris Marsden too.

Hunt used to be a top player though and at one stage was linked with Utd and Spurs for 12m so on a free might be worth a go to see if he could rediscover his form. Certainly the better of the Hunt brothers, Noel is poor.

A bit of a headless chicken type of player these days. Not good enough for us. Could see either Hull or Palace being interested.

Headless Chicken is a lazy stereotype IMO for the Cech incident. Expected better from you Wiggles.

hope you are joking...useless player and nowhere near good enough

i think everyone needs to cool it on links to players in this country...likely to be serie A or La Liga and under the age of 25/26

Titus Bramble released by Sunderland. HCDAJFU?

Not a huge Bramble fan myself - we havent historically done well with free transfers, think we don't get in there quick enough.

Would be great to see us get one of these done for a player of this type (although not Bramble).

I need to start watching Italian football. 90% of these players I have never heard of...Don't get me wrong once you do a bit of research they sound very good/should improve the squad but I do have concerns. I do still think you need a core of English/British players or at least players with Premier League experience, who understand the league and the supporters. Otherwise you could end up with 11+ mercernaries in the QPR/Skates mould.

Personally my wishlist for next season would be:

Vermaelan/Astori

Ince

Lamela (who after a little research looks mustard!)

A N Other Striker...your guess is as good as mine

Or like Arsenal 04/05?? ;)

Bramble will go to Hull to be back with Steve Bruce. Good signing for all concerned.

As for Stephen Hunt, don't think he's good enough for the Prem anymore. Championship player imo.

Paul Bailey‏@PaulBaiIey

Just heard #saintsfc are in pole position to take Wilfried Zaha on a season-long loan deal from #MUFC in 2013/14. Would LOVE to see that!

Bound to be a wind up, Holloway hates us for some reason, but just seeing his reaction to this would be hilarious on the off chance it happens to be true.

Who's this bloke? Surely if he went anywhere it'd be Palace now they're up?

Not going to happen and he's well over-rated anyway. Edited by Sour Mash

And there would be a downside to it even if it t'were remotely possible. No free lunches at MUFC.

United might want him playing for a decent top 10 side rather than one who is fighting relegation?

United could get first option on Shaw perhaps?

So much goes on in football that we don't hear about and anything is possible these days.

Zaha is an excellent talent. Miles better than Lallana

How anyone cane say he is overrated is beyond me

A season long loan would be excellent IMO

He isn't miles better at all, he's just much quicker. Lallana has a much better record than Zaha's to date.

Don't want that arrogant c*nt at my club. No ta. Incredibly overrated.

What is so arrogant about him?

I am impressed by not only his play but also his attitude, he was desperate to leave Palace in the Premiership and you could see after the game what it meant to him. Yes, he has a lot of improving to do like all youngsters but I think he has a big future.
