Many PL players of 4 or 5 years back would struggle to get into the better championship sides in our day and age. Surman for instance, Wolves were in the PL when they signed him I think but he just didn't make the grade despite many opportunities at both Wolves and Norwich. Hunt used to be a top player though and at one stage was linked with Utd and Spurs for 12m so on a free might be worth a go to see if he could rediscover his form. I do still think you need a core of English/British players or at least players with Premier League experience, who understand the league and the supporters. Otherwise you could end up with 11+ mercernaries in the QPR/Skates mould. Personally my wishlist for next season would be: Vermaelan/Astori Ince Lamela (who after a little research looks mustard!) A N Other Striker...your guess is as good as mine

I am impressed by not only his play but also his attitude, he was desperate to leave Palace in the Premiership and you could see after the game what it meant to him. Yes, he has a lot of improving to do like all youngsters but I think he has a big future.
