St Chalet Posted 25 May, 2013 Posted 25 May, 2013 Bacardi are local to Southampton from memory, might make sense. that said, AAP3 still have a year left on their deal.

Matthew Le God Posted 25 May, 2013 Posted 25 May, 2013 are alcoholic drinks sponsors permitted nowadays ? Doesn't appear to be a problem for Everton...
SNSUN Posted 25 May, 2013 Posted 25 May, 2013 Heard from someone yesterday we are likely to be sponsored by a major drinks brand next season.... NI Cola - he's bringing out his own brand.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 25 May, 2013 Posted 25 May, 2013 are alcoholic drinks sponsors permitted nowadays ? To answer this, yes. HOWEVER, you aren't then allowed to print the sponsors logo onto kids' shirts. Same goes for betting companies.
Sour Mash Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 not according to L'Equipe (who might just know) 25 million € for Moutihno and 45 million € for Rodriguez. And from Porto themselves http://www.fcporto.pt/English/News/news_eng_futjamesmoutinhomonaco_240513_75604.asp good rumour though, nearly as good as KD in Sainsbury's I've got absolutely no idea if it's true or not, just thought it's a clever idea.

Turkish Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Chris Brunt is out of contract next month and unlike all of our attacking midfielders can deliver a dead ball properly.
DuncanRG Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Surely he'll re-sign? He's their captain, doubt either party wants him to leave
Turkish Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 You'd think so but you never know, he might be open to a good offer.
SNSUN Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Chris Brunt is out of contract next month and unlike all of our attacking midfielders can deliver a dead ball properly. http://threeandin.com/?p=20864 WBA's Brunt, Fulham's Diarra and Reading's Pearce is who this article links us with. Brunt would be a useful signing I agree, I'm not sure Pearce would add anything more than we already have, and Diarra is at the tail end of his career, so no to those two. Surely WBA wouldn't want to lose Brunt though? He's only 28.
saintedwill Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 What about Skirtel from Liverpool? He's rumoured to be unhappy
tomf05 Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 are alcoholic drinks sponsors permitted nowadays ? Chang beer and Everton?
Sour Mash Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 A chance to see some of our 'targets' in the Celtic and Roma games today.
Window Cleaner Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 A chance to see some of our 'targets' in the Celtic and Roma games today. I might watch some of the Rome derby, who am I supposed to be looking out for ? As for Celtic-Hibs err no thanks.
Sour Mash Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 I might watch some of the Rome derby, who am I supposed to be looking out for ? As for Celtic-Hibs err no thanks. The various players mentioned in this thread, but Osvaldo particularly. Can't see us signing him, but he's been mentioned so much and it should be a cracking game, so worth a watch. Yeah Scottish final ain't great, think Hooper scored both.

pingwing Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8736603/ Not really a could do a job for us now is it... Impressive a couple of champ teams think he could get a look in though.
studentsaint Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Saints told Chelsea shaws worth 15 and told arsenal schneiderlins worth 10.
Matthew Le God Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Saints told Chelsea shaws worth 15 and told arsenal schneiderlins worth 10. Only if you believe a random person on Twitter. https://twitter.com/FourFourSpeak/status/338705033665343488 https://twitter.com/FourFourSpeak/status/338705721220812800 It is utter nonsense.
Batman Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Southampton are considering a bid of £2.5mil plus Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for Luke Shaw.
Saint Charlie Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Well Claus seems to believe it. Its utter rubbish, like all those 'ITK' Twitters.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Has anyone heard anything regarding possible signings for Saints? Was a few names mentioned before the end of the season, but nothing really since.
Matthew Le God Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Well Claus seems to believe it. So what? If someone on Twitter said "Newcastle have told Man Utd it will cost them £25m to sign Cabaye" and Paul Gascoigne retweeted it, does that make it anymore credible?
SuperSAINT Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Not really a could do a job for us now is it... Impressive a couple of champ teams think he could get a look in though. Historically, I believe the HCDAJFU thread is also the place for all other transfer rumours...
Appy Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 So what? If someone on Twitter said "Newcastle have told Man Utd it will cost them £25m to sign Cabaye" and Paul Gascoigne retweeted it, does that make it anymore credible? It would make it less credible as he isn't on twitter whereas Claus is.
Saint_Ash Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Southampton are considering a bid of £2.5mil plus Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for Luke Shaw. Snap their arm off for this if true!
Wiggles31 Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Would have thought Lukaku would be worth more than young Shaw tbh hence I don't believe that rumour. Either way I would have that deal all day long.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 If we're going to start using Claus as a credible source we might as well believe everything we read.
SNSUN Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Saints told Chelsea shaws worth 15 and told arsenal schneiderlins worth 10. Which, of course, is complete arse - someone's made that up based on how much they've heard of each player. Morgan is worth more than Shaw at the moment - and while the Shaw valuation isn't far off IMO, Morgan's is much lower than we'd get.
Stevie61163 Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Southampton are considering a bid of £2.5mil plus Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for Luke Shaw. yes please especially with Targget coming through........who by opinion is supposed to be an even better prospect than Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke!!!
St Chalet Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Targett is the Scotland U21 left back, an impressive feat until you remember who is the senior player to hold that position.
DuncanRG Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Which, of course, is complete arse - someone's made that up based on how much they've heard of each player. Morgan is worth more than Shaw at the moment - and while the Shaw valuation isn't far off IMO, Morgan's is much lower than we'd get. I don't think Morgan's worth more necessarily - six years older and foreign, which brings his price down if you're selling to an English club. Six years is the difference between 'exciting young prospect' Adam Lallana and 'getting on a bit' Rickie Lambert. Amazing when you think of it that way
Stevie61163 Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 its just a bit of fun stop being such a misery guts!!!!!! Are people really taking that Lukaku rumour seriously?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Are people really taking that Lukaku rumour seriously? Its on Football Rumours so it must be true!
Matthew Le God Posted 26 May, 2013 Posted 26 May, 2013 Targett is the Scotland U21 left back. Scotland under 19's.

MOSaint Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 (edited) Only concern is that he seems a little on the small side, then again 14 yellow cards this season suggests he has no problem getting stuck in. Edited 27 May, 2013 by MOSaint edited out old link
AussieDog Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 I don't think Morgan's worth more necessarily - six years older and foreign, which brings his price down if you're selling to an English club. Six years is the difference between 'exciting young prospect' Adam Lallana and 'getting on a bit' Rickie Lambert. Amazing when you think of it that way I'm sure this has been brought up before, but doesn't he meet the criteria of "homegrown" - in which case that increases his value significantly for an english club, but not sure what that does to his value for overseas?
goneawol Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 We were linked to him in January, non? 18 million Euros, about 12 million pounds?... Closer to £15.5m
CWD Posted 27 May, 2013 Posted 27 May, 2013 We were linked to him in January, non? 18 million Euros, about 12 million pounds? For a central midfielder capped 4 times by Belgium and 25 years old. I don't know much about him, but that seems an awful lot of money for someone only capped 4 times. It's actually probably closer to £15m as well...
