Well done Saints...Jay Rod, Lambert, Steve Davis. Top three on the day..

Artur Boruc......Super star.:)

Wish the Ramirez fannies would shut the fluuuck up....

Did a lot of good work together with Lambert Jay Rod and Steve Davis.

Ramirez is one of our best players and will only get better.

Good to have two such talented skilfull players as Ramirez and Lallana in the team /squad.

Good performance against a very poor side. No doubt there is something about this team which is fairly special. Turning that x factor they have developed under Pochettino into results which is pleasing.

Still not that comfortable in central defence from set plays, but in the open play both CB's are comfortable.

Great movement and interplay between JayRod, Lambert & Gaston. Gaston does frustrate a bit, but he is still effective and dangerous which will improve further under MP. For me its the vision he has to play passes which you dont even realise are there. He needs to only improve the decision making as currently too many times its the wrong choice. I would still rather have a player who can see those goal creating moments and takes risks than one who does not.

Whatever MP has done for JayRod is remarkable......what a player this guy is going to be. Lambert, understated class again.

Finally........ Boruc........Legend

A good day.

2nd half was a doddle. Not the cleneast of performances, but as the opposition were so horrific it didn't really matter. How we allowed them to win the NPC is beyond me, they shouldn't even be at this level. Completley out of their depth.

We, on the other hand, look completely at home now. Some of our play was excellent and our attacking movement is unmanageable at times

If QPR win and Stoke win today, we're safe. In fact we're probably ok now. At least we won't have a nervy last few weeks for a change!

Thought we looked so good at times. First game I've seen in entirety in the Premiership. So different from the last time we were here - control, passing, strength, patience - we're a good side to watch. Watched second half with a Liverpool fan who took time out to watch us as we play nice football. We're entertainers, guys. And winners too. :)

Rode our luck a bit early on, with ALF's shocking miss and the penalty shout, J Rod's goal turned it.

Few close calls went (correctly) our way, but we were comfortable once we got in front and started playing it about.

Boruc really is mad

Finally feels like we're safe, one more point would seal it I reckon.

Soooooo easy.

No it wasn't - we could have been 3 down within 30 mins and deservedly so! No way we would have come back from that. Overjoyed we won and yes we played great after the first 30 mins, but let's not pretend we are Barca just yet!

You sound like Niall Quinn...how would it have been deserved if that penalty was given? He got the ball.

Another awful result as we settle for some deadly dull mid table finish ... oh and bloody Guly got on again! I'll tell you what boy, any more of this sh1te and I'm going to jump ship and start supporting AFC Bournemouth.

What game did you watch? What 3 chances did they have in 30mins??? I can remember 1 which was flown over by Le Fondre.

Other than that they were pathetic. It was a doddle of an away game where we didn't even have to play that well.

I wish people would lay off Jos a bit. He got the ball, so no penalty. Had he stood away and they had scored he would have been at fault for not going in. The guy just can't please anyone it seems!

Thought he was alright to be honest. Won everything and made a good connection to everything.

Word. He was doing his best to give away a penalty, it's not his fault it doesn't always come off. With better opposition he might have managed an own goal or something, just had a bit of an off day todoz.

Or we could have won 5-0 if Lambert had got a slight touch on Jrod's cross and Ramirez and Guly had scored their sitters.

Agree, was a great tackle, won everything in the air. Yes he hoofs it long every now and then, but least its away from danger. Pottichino clearly rates him..!

Ramirez as wasteful as ever. Sometimes shows signs of something but he adds nothing to us, Davis has been more effective over the season and the right wing position was wasted, punch or Lallana should have started but the team did well to shine in a scrappy game.

Garth Crooks reckons we're a premier league team now cos he's actually learnt some of our player's names. "Shaw, Clyne.... Rodriguez." Top pundit yo!

To be fair, he's just being honest. That's kinda refreshing compared to the usual BS these guys come up with!

On ESPN Steve Macmanaman said he couldn't belive that Reading were the team supposedly fighting for their lives, no commitment, no drive, no passion, fans quiet.

We played them professionally enough not needing to be at our best, it was almost as if we wanted to win at a canter so we didn't wake them up. Poor old Guly, would have been nice for him to finish off his Saints career with a goal, but just like stoke he likes to blast these chances instead of steering it in or even taking a touch and making sure. I think we are safe, the points are close but so many teams would have to pass us, and with many of the threatened teams playing each other, it's a very long shot.

Lol. Immense last season. Scares the willies out of me at Prem level.

Two players have been turning points for our season.

1. When we got Cork back from injury

2. Jay Rod hitting amazing form

I voted for Rickie though - he has been superb all season and his link up play today was a joy.

We are basically safe (now 50/1 to go down). We should strive for a top half finish if we can.

Happy days!

Yes interesting point Ramirez flatters to deceive at times but Guly - oh my God........He is RUBBISH. I am now a bashing Guly yes! He is just total SH--E. Misses a sitter then hacks down a player 15 seconds later giving them an opportunity to throw the ball in the box. This guy should be nowhere near this team. He must be some sort of super star Messi like player in training but on the pitch in a game he is a joke! Why would you ever pick him??????? Put anyone else in but not him please.....

Fantastic team play from us in last 60mins again but we are very vulnerable defensively, particularly the centre backs who are not dominent in the air. The ball is rarely cleared by a header from us and usually ends up dropping on the ground where upon an ensuing panick takes place and we scramble the ball away - hopefully....
