Thank christ he signed Mayuka Guly and Ramirez...........

Has anyone never signed a dud?

Even Fergie signed Taibi, and imo he's the best manager ever.

Also, Guly was good in L1 & the championship. And did ok in spells this season.

wow these Sky reporters are absolute clowns. It's cringeworthy the love-in they appear to have with Reading.....it's obvious Sky badly want Reading to win this. Saying that i thought that was a crap first half from us....and yet we so easily could have gone in 3-0 up...footballs weird!

Quinn is a disgraceful co commentator , he's choked Reading are losing.

Still has an affinity for Sunderland, this result will be bad for them.

He hasn't been that bad though.

A 2nd would have been nice. Would probably have put Reading right out of it.

Expect Royals to come out with some gusto after half time. See that off and then their heads'll drop once they concede another to Saints.

Not a brilliant first half, didn't start playing until we got the opener.

Rodriguez has been our best player again so far, Ramirez & Hooiveld have also stood out but for the wrong reasons.

Reading have pressed well so far and we still need to be careful second half.

We look strangely lethargic - Davis has been good in midfield; J-Rod lively; big miss by Ramirez and Jos looks shaky. A little fortunate to be in the lead.

ESPN American feed is more neutral :)

Who's the scouser on that feed, bloody hilarious, loves us. Saying stuff like, "I don't care, you can slow it down as much as you like, not a penalty, no...no....NO...stop showing it, I don't care he won the ball..."

We look decent at the moment, esp last 10 minutes, horrible miss by Ramirez though.

Davis, Lambert, JRod, Schniederlin best players in first half...

Hope we can get a quick 2nd and finish them off, may need to weather an early storm here

Ramirez has been on off, but hey, that happens with a lot of players like this. Any of you lot watched Nani before? I'd still have him in my side as he can make things happen (J Rod hit bar chance for example).

I don't think I've ever seen him put in any sort of decent performance away from home. Let's not kid ourselves that his display is just an occasional thing. It's every, single away game.

Still, we've come into the game slowly and Rodriguez is frightening the life out of them. You can see the confidence bursting out of the kid at the moment.

We've certainly had "the rub of the green" today so far. Reading are playing us at our own game with regards to the pressing. Let's see what tactical changes The Pochmeister comes up with at half time. we've had too many sloppy passes, Hooiveld is having one of those days where he just looks like a penalty waiting to happen, and we're winning despite Ramirez rather than because of.

The more I see that challenge, the more I think Jos Hooiveld got that utterly spot on!

And I would be fuming if it was against us....

Watching in Belmont street in Aberdeen . Who are the cocks commentating . Good jay goal he didn't touch the ball. Despite what Wilkins said . Come on Saints keep possession . This was never going to be a tidy game to watch
