conaero Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Ha ha it had me for all of about 10 seconds....it's my birthday today so used to this. Maybe its a warning to RH to select him for England or else!!!
dubai_phil Posted 1 April, 2013 Author Posted 1 April, 2013 4 so far. @dubaisaints twitmeister done like a kipper plus 3 of our FB pals Nice job lads, much better than the Peter Crouch growth spurt
Hatch Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 not sure this is a good idea, hell of a long way to fly can't they pick Guly instead
lifeintheslowlane Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Ha ha it had me for all of about 10 seconds....it's my birthday today so used to this. Maybe its a warning to RH to select him for England or else!!! YOU MEAN IT'S NOT TRUE!! I've sent out so many emails...this is too embarrassing...I suggested he would make a great Fly-half.
ozzmeister Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Dam I actually believed it! If he does indeed have a NZ grandfather it wouldn't be the stupidest shout though would it.....
rickylambert Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 i just bought a NZ shirt with Lambert 7 printed on the back
Lighthouse Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Good effort. I remember the paintbrush shirts they had just after the JPT final 3 years ago.
mikee Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Ha ha it had me for all of about 10 seconds....it's my birthday today so used to this. Maybe its a warning to RH to select him for England or else!!! Mine too! Happy Birthday to all fools. My daughters favourite prank is to tell me that she is pregnant! - how we laughed......
CWD Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Completely fell for it. Hook, line and proverbial sinker. Well done to the club!
Asaint4ever Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Had me going till my wife said what's the date : (
doubleonothing Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Best one the club did was changing the home kit to blue to welcome Pompey to the premiership - it was about 10 years ago.

pap Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Dam I actually believed it! If he does indeed have a NZ grandfather it wouldn't be the stupidest shout though would it..... It would when Rickie is one of the best England strikers out there. I don't care about Rickie's age. If England qualify for next year's World Cup, they would be mental not to take him if he continues playing like he is.
dubai_phil Posted 1 April, 2013 Author Posted 1 April, 2013 Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 1h Sorry everyone – Happy April Fools' Day! Did you fall for it? #saintsfc pic.twitter.com/a5hxaYRqLa Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC 1h VIDEO: Rickie Lambert's April Fools' Day message! http://youtu.be/i8OZN1kFhYE #saintsfc
davefizzy14 Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 I must say I fell for it at first but well played Rickie and to the Club
Picard Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Couldn't he qualify for Wales, Scotland or one of the Irelands? Lambert sounds a bit Scottish.
VectisSaint Posted 1 April, 2013 Posted 1 April, 2013 Couldn't he qualify for Wales, Scotland or one of the Irelands? Lambert sounds a bit Scottish. New Zealand makes some sense, but playing for Scotland? I think Rickie has some self esteem. Even with WGS in charge :-)
