Adkins to look at Saints for transfer targets?

Kelvin Davis - Not getting games under us, and as good of a servant as he has been I can see him making a move. Top keeper for a Championship side.

Danny Fox - With Shaw here, he is never going to earn his first team spot. Not good enough for this league but can do a job in the Championship.

Frazer Richardson - Same as above (Clyne)

Billy Sharp - Clearly not wanted here. If a club snaps up Le Fondre this summer it wouldn't surprise me if Sharp was his replacement.

Richard Chaplow - An asset to any Championship club. Can really see Adkins going for him.

19 days ago he signed a new 3-year deal at Saints.

Yes I know this, and I'm sure you're aware that Reading can still pay a fee for him. As far as I know, Reading have had issues with their Keepers this season, so it wouldn't surprise me if Adkins put in a bid.

They've already got two keepers better than Davis.

Considering he never picked him here, that is highly unlikely.

correct of course, but he loved having him on the bench ..about 20-odd sub. apps last season ..and then there was THAT goal v. Reading ...(who knows?).

Whichever way you look at it, it'd be strange if he DIDN'T look to some of our playing staff- especially as there are likely to be so many on the move in the summer....

you're not be the only person to think that Turkish, but NA thought KD was good enough for the Prem. in August.....I wonder if he's changed his mind......or ?

...or he's going to unretire and put on the gloves himself? It's not like it would affect his ability to manage from the bench...

Some of us are assuming were definitely staying up and Reading not. We are highly likely to lose at home to Chelsea on Saturday and if we then lose to Reading which could happen given the spice of the occasion, it'll all be doom and gloom on here again.

It will be doom and gloom if we lose to Reading, but odds are still that we'll still stay up and Reading won't. Even if what you say happens we'll still be 5 points ahead of Reading - unless they also beat Arsenal away, which I wouldn't say was one of Adkins' strengths.

Why Jos ?? I think he has looked good at the back lately any player will score own goals if the ball gets blasted at him from 4 yards out Pooch must think he is good enough he has picked him enough

I agree, but sadly none of Jos' " own-goals " looked anywhere as good as Gareth Barry's, a very deft side-footed effort.

]He should know what we paid[/b]. Offer that and we got a deal.

Although, even knowing that .......and expecting to pay the same.... is something else.

When Billy came to Saints, he was Donny's only hope of survival.....after he left, they went down like a lead balloon.

Thankfully, Billy did AJFU at the end of the season (8 goals in 8 games)...just at the (right) point in time when Rickie was having a relatively dry spell.

However, after signing Jay Rod ..NA didn't see him as a part of the new line-up, but his loan-out to Forest has proven a success.

will he go?..almost certainly, but I'd be looking for Cortese to negotiate a sizeable profit on a transfer deal.
