LGTL Posted 27 March, 2013 Posted 27 March, 2013 Clive Mirery i think from BBC News 24 ? Man City fan I believe.
Wade Garrett Posted 28 March, 2013 Posted 28 March, 2013 Reg Morley (aka Reg Holdsworth from Coronation Street) is a massive Saints fan. Back in the 70s, he was in Steve Jewett's gang that often fought whole ends on their own. I hear he was a bit of a psycho, hard as nails.
Badger Posted 28 March, 2013 Posted 28 March, 2013 Clive Mirery i think from BBC News 24 ? I think you've confused him with another newscaster James Mates. Clive Myrie James Mates. An easy mistake to make.
Sheaf Saint Posted 28 March, 2013 Posted 28 March, 2013 John Inverdale, when not watching or commentating on the the egg-chasing, is a Saints fan. I heard him recounting his memories of the 76 cup final in a radio show once.
Turkish Posted 28 March, 2013 Posted 28 March, 2013 Hige Saint fan is SKY's Jeff STELLING. No he doesn't he supports Hartlepool.
Tamesaint Posted 28 March, 2013 Posted 28 March, 2013 A few years ago, both the Director General of the BBC (Gavyn Davies) and the BBC chairman were Saints fans. Mind you , if the Queen & Prince Charles were to snuff it we would be ruled by Villa fans - Cameron and Prince William. God forbid!!
Wade Garrett Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 Arthur Lowe was a big Saints fan. He got glassed once by John Le Mesurier for saying Arsenal were a load of c*nts. That horrible b*stard Clive Dunne held him down while it happened.
georgeweahscousin Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 Not sure if it was true or not, but I was told that during his Hampshire days Shane Warne became quite the Saints fan.... Alos, isn't Aussie Actress/Singer Holly Valance a Saints fan?

Sheaf Saint Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 Alos, isn't Aussie Actress/Singer Holly Valance a Saints fan? I believe her mum is from Southampton, but she isn't really a fan. We'll claim that one though I reckon

That horrible b*stard Clive Dunne held him down while it happened. Whilst this was happening Dunn kept shouting 'don't panic, don't panic' in an attempt at irony, pathetic, and everything that was wrong with football in the 70s. I was once lucky enough to be invited to a hog roast hosted by the Sultan of Brunei and Bill Gates, and was surprised to find out neither were Saints fans...

I was once lucky enough to be invited to a hog roast hosted by the Sultan of Brunei and Bill Gates, and was surprised to find out neither were Saints fans... Sure, but did Bill Gates deny that his business partner Paul Allen was a massive Saints fan? I'm sure Paul would have told Bill all about the times he sailed up Southampton Water in his yacht while he was sorting out the details of his takeover.

He used to specialise in giving out the Chelsea grin to anyone who crossed him. Brian Cant from Playaway was also a nutter, and just used to egg Clive on. Pair of c*nts.
The9 Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 No he doesn't he supports Hartlepool. True, but he has Saints sympathies since he lives in Bishop's Waltham. Crab Lungs also once spotted him watching some junior footy in the area and got a photo done for the lolz.
The Kraken Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 True, but he has Saints sympathies since he lives in Bishop's Waltham. Crab Lungs also once spotted him watching some junior footy in the area and got a photo done for the lolz. I think I read that his kids are Saints fans and he sometimes takes them to games.
Kingsland Red Posted 29 March, 2013 Posted 29 March, 2013 It is Jeff Stelling's sons who are Saints fans, and both are good keepers in the Tyro League age groups at our club.

I was unlucky enough to be in a pub with him in about 1978 when Hawking rolled up heading the Oxford United crew (cup game) C*nt shouts out 'pick a window you're leaving...through the round window' - no shame, no conscience...

I remember that, didn't Big Ted get nicked?
Wilko Posted 30 March, 2013 Posted 30 March, 2013 That guy on the panel on Question Time on Thursday night. Mark Littlewood. Was wearing a Saints tie. Was very right-wing in his outlook. In fact, he's a Libertarian. He's an extreme social and economic liberal, who believes in the free market and personal freedom. He doesn't fit the traditional definition of right wing at all.
