John B Posted 30 November, 2008 Share Posted 30 November, 2008 (edited) This year we have scored 7 in 10 = 0.7 goals per game last year 26 from 23 =1.13 goals per game In that 'Derby' season it was 36 from 23 = 1.57 goals per game, which is double what we're currently achieving. No I meant the Derby game itself During and after that game goals seemed to have dried up and that is the reason why we are the bottom of the League In that season goals were pretty good Edited 30 November, 2008 by John B
OldNick Posted 30 November, 2008 Share Posted 30 November, 2008 Just about sums Lowe up, doesnt it ? Some good comments on the Echo article, like the one about swapping a picture of our finest hour for one of our darkest hour. Also the one about Lowe and the Ted Bates Statue - wonder how long Lowe takes to find an excuse to "move it" ? I reckon it will be something to do with Health & Safety.. Where does it say that RL asked for the picture to be taken down? I dont see a big problem ,but I do think it is nice that we have respected Doncasters invitation to play in their ground and them sending a picture in thanks. I do see why fans are jumping to conclusions and perhaps it has been done in spite but it is nonsense as i doubt LM has any pitures of the directors up in his office. INFLUENCED.COM Posted 30 November, 2008 Share Posted 30 November, 2008 Didn't the Labour MP (can't think of his name Denis ....) draw a hitler moustache on a Downing Street painting of Thatcher once. Skinner ?? which would have been inappropriate, this one has simply been removed and GIVEN to the individual in the photo, a photo of which the image does not have an immediate reference to Saints( I appreciate to some the two may seem intrinsically linked), as stated earlier the cup does not have Saints scarfs tied onto it, Saints ribbons, Text to identify the year or team etc.... ooohTerryHurlock Posted 30 November, 2008 Share Posted 30 November, 2008 imo the train hasnt been such a drain on the club. it did n't ****ing put a team together that won the cup - bring or persuade players - world class players - to join a less than fashionable club. Come very close to winning the league and deliver european football season after season. Not to mention the players he brought through the ranks. He, along with bates are solely responsible for putting the club - on the footballing map - the two knobs at the helm at the moment are trying to create armageddon should **** off to crew if they love trains that much and leave us and our club to get back to the roots and traditions that made this club..... and as for your opinion - well it is worth jack ! once_bitterne Posted 1 December, 2008 Share Posted 1 December, 2008 Apparently the club was forced to take down the picture as LM was demanding £1k per month to display it for use of his image rights.....
aintforever Posted 1 December, 2008 Share Posted 1 December, 2008 On the face of it it's not at all important, how the directors choose to decorate their room is totally up to them and it doesn't effect anyone else. However when you think about who's involved and the reasons behind it it pretty much sums up what a joke of a club we are. Choosing to replace a picture of our greatest manager ever holding the only thing we have ever won with a picture of a ****ing train from one of our relegation rivals is a **** take. Much LOL! Only £1,000 per month, the man must be losing his touch for milking his achievement, either that or he is getting PR advice from TopGun.
