trousers Posted 25 April, 2013 Share Posted 25 April, 2013 Link? Can only find it on one of those transfer twitters that take stuff from football-rumours. Just had another look - seems to be a lot of 2+2=5 stuff. Probably nothing new in it. At ease...
doggface Posted 25 April, 2013 Share Posted 25 April, 2013 Athletico's strikers are not bad are they? ; ) Seems like a poor season for him, with the possibility of Falcao leaving perhaps he may get more opportunities next season.....that said they will probably spend to replace Falcao if he does leave. FWIW a friend of mine who is a big spanish football fan, really rates Lopez (as he does Pochettino). Think there could be something in this but we will see? batterseasaint Posted 25 April, 2013 Share Posted 25 April, 2013 I saw him come off the bench on Sunday night v Sevilla and he looked pretty useful. Played in a wide position and put in a good cross for a goal. Looked a good technical player and I suspect could play anywhere in the front four. Definitely worth signing if we can get him. Courtois was in goal as well and he looked excellent. He would be a brilliant signing.
itchen_dan Posted 26 April, 2013 Share Posted 26 April, 2013 Courtois was in goal as well and he looked excellent. He would be a brilliant signing. No chance. He's being used as bait in Chelsea's deal for Falcao.
skintsaint Posted 26 April, 2013 Share Posted 26 April, 2013 I think we will look to get more pacey direct players in those wing positions and there move AL and GR into the support role with the striker as they both don't have that electric pace we are missing sometimes. Especially with RL up top, JR has shown us what a bit more of a pacey direct route can get us. Another player in that mould would do us well and this guy looks that sort. Pilchards Posted 26 April, 2013 Share Posted 26 April, 2013 No chance. He's being used as bait in Chelsea's deal for Falcao. Said the papers!! To be honest with you, Jose Morinho will know all about him and he will decide what's best. Cant wait for him to be back in the premiership but shame it's with Chelsea. The German teams have just that and it destroyed two of the best teams in the world. Jay Rod was too fast for Chelski & Liverpool recently in our home games. You are perfectly right of course, but pointing out the importance of pace on here invariably earns you a deeply tiresome response claiming that Jonathon Forte's failure to make much of a impact somehow 'proves' the opposite.
