Chez Posted 13 April, 2013 Posted 13 April, 2013 if you have vertigo the upper tier is not for you. Steep as ****.
Charlie2008 Posted 14 April, 2013 Posted 14 April, 2013 Anybody know how ticket sales are going? Any chance of any being left for general sale on Mon 22nd?
BlakeySFC Posted 15 April, 2013 Posted 15 April, 2013 Standing in the upper tier at QPR was no where near '50/50' was it? It was for me. I was in the 3rd row and the row behind couldn't decide whether to stand up or sit down so I ended up sitting down half the time because I didn't want to obstruct their view and then the other half when I saw they were standing up I stood up.
saints_is_the_south Posted 15 April, 2013 Posted 15 April, 2013 Anybody know how ticket sales are going? Any chance of any being left for general sale on Mon 22nd? Lower tier sold out online. Unlikely to make general sale, I'd say.
This Charming Man Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Surprised they lasted this long in fairness.
Jack Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Looking forward to this, will be my first trip to WHL. Wasn't old enough to be able to pay for myself to do away games until after we were relegated.
LGTL Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Only time I've been to WHL was for the 1-1 cup match, the replay being the infamous rocket ronnie show!
BlakeySFC Posted 16 April, 2013 Posted 16 April, 2013 Got my Upper Tier tickets through the post on Saturday, always wanted to go to WHL so very much looking forward to this one.
Saint_clark Posted 17 April, 2013 Posted 17 April, 2013 If there are any spare tickets, preferably lower tier, send me a PM please
Jack Posted 18 April, 2013 Posted 18 April, 2013 Yup, I need a spare as well after 1 of the lads got his dates mixed up, and wants his ticket back which has been sold. Tosser.
Give it to Ron Posted 19 April, 2013 Posted 19 April, 2013 Well due to another ticket off F up with nothing showing on our history - we have met the criteria and they agree its wrong but no tickets left am after 2 adults and 2 juniors if anyone has any.
cryoman1965 Posted 19 April, 2013 Posted 19 April, 2013 Anyone received theie tickets yet? Got mine last Saturday
BlakeySFC Posted 19 April, 2013 Posted 19 April, 2013 Anyone received theie tickets yet? Got mine last Saturday when I got back from St. Mary's
This Charming Man Posted 22 April, 2013 Posted 22 April, 2013 Anyone received theie tickets yet? Yes. Would imagine your order has probably been cancelled if they're still yet to show.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 22 April, 2013 Posted 22 April, 2013 Mine came last Sat, and they've now mastered the art of sticking the envelope down. That's 2 game running Reading and now Spurs that there hasn't been a cock up with our away tickets, great work from the ticket office...............
Saint Charlie Posted 22 April, 2013 Posted 22 April, 2013 Yes. Would imagine your order has probably been cancelled if they're still yet to show. Ha - I checked with them and the order is confirmed, probs lost in the post so they will sort duplicates if they don't arrive.
Shroppie Posted 25 April, 2013 Posted 25 April, 2013 Anyone know of a London pub that will be screening the game and would be reasonably away-fan friendly? Going to be there but without a ticket, thanks to being in Africa when they went on sale. Incidentally, can't use my season ticket for the Stoke game and in the unlikely case that someone would swap a Spurs ticket for the Stoke game I might be up for a swap.

Famous Three Kings at West Kensington or Sports Cafe at Haymarket - neither near WHL though.

Saint Garrett Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Anyone know the quickest route there? Was intending on drinking around Kings Cross.
Sour Mash Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Anyone know the quickest route there? Was intending on drinking around Kings Cross. There are a few different routes, all equally quick. If you're drinking around Kings Cross, take the Victoria line to Seven Sisters and then either a bus from there or the overline to either Bruce Grove or White Hart Lane Stations (WHL a bit nearer the ground). You'd want to leave Kings Cross at about 2.15 to guarantee making kick off.
Saint Garrett Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Oh right, is there no tube station walkable from the ground then ?! Thats not ideal!
Sour Mash Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Oh right, is there no tube station walkable from the ground then ?! Thats not ideal! Seven Sisters is "walkable", but you're looking at a good 30mins march from there.
saints_is_the_south Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Anyone know the quickest route there? Was intending on drinking around Kings Cross. We are going to drink around Liverpool Street station. Direct train from there to WHL station. Some decent boozers around that way.
JRM Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Tottenham Hale is very walkable. sure you're not thinking of Northumberland Park ? Tottenham Hale is a good 20-25 min walk
Appy Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 sure you're not thinking of Northumberland Park ? Tottenham Hale is a good 20-25 min walk Seems i was thinking of White Hart Lane.
Whitey Grandad Posted 29 April, 2013 Posted 29 April, 2013 Seems i was thinking of White Hart Lane. That's where I used to go to in the late sixties.
Saint Garrett Posted 1 May, 2013 Posted 1 May, 2013 We are going to drink around Liverpool Street station. Direct train from there to WHL station. Some decent boozers around that way. Cheers. What sort of time would you recommend leaving there to get to the ground for 2:45 ish?
Berkshire Saint Posted 1 May, 2013 Posted 1 May, 2013 Any of these from Liverpool Street to WHL would be the ones to go for: 1400 (getting in at 1424), 1415 (1434) and 1421 (1444).
action man Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 ticket now soldi have a spare ticket ,pm me if interested
Graffito Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 Any idea which Liverpool st pubs we intend to frequent? http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/hamilton-hall On the station concourse.
Sour Mash Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/hamilton-hall On the station concourse. Just about ok for a quick, cheap pint, but loads of better options around there easy to find.
lambertsrightleg Posted 2 May, 2013 Posted 2 May, 2013 http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/hamilton-hall On the station concourse. imagine that this will be the obvious choice
red&white56 Posted 3 May, 2013 Posted 3 May, 2013 Thinking of going to the Shooting Star - has real ale and food
