I'm now back from my tour of Italy, San Marino, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Croatia :o

I'll try to collate everything together later today, if those who are interested but haven't stated their positions and/or rough playing ability/fitness levels (those that I don't know, at least ;) ) could do so, that would be very helpful. :toppa:

Playing midfield or right back, ability has limitations but reasonably fit, could last a whole match and can do sex for about 20 minutes (depending on company).

Oh arse, looks like I forgot I was supposed to be going to a wedding on the 27th. Wrangling it so that I get to see us play West Brom is going to be difficult enough, looks like I'll have to count myself out of the fans match :(

OK, I'll probably come to watch BUT will bring my stuff, just in case. Also, can someone paint me out a technical area? I fancy being a bit of an Andy Crosby.

Right, here's the provisional squad of 15:

GK: Chris Summers

DF: Kev Thornton, Adam Moore, Andy Porter, Lee Chamberlain, Mike Florit

MF: Chris Knight, Stu Holloway, Scott Phillips, Andy Mintram, Jordan Florit, Ben Coombes

FW: Steve Grant, Scott Griffin, Brad Smirk

Apologies to those who put their names forward but aren't on the list, unfortunately 28 doesn't go into 15. I'm hoping that these games will be much more regular next season so there will be more opportunities for everyone. For those who are on the list, if any of your plans change and you cannot make the game, please let me know asap so I can bring somebody else in.

I'll confirm full details in the next week or so.

Just as an aside, I've pencilled in an away game at Watford for Saturday 8th June.

Damnit, that's one I would've been interested in given how far back we've been playing against them, but I'll be in Europe on my travels.

Possibly my favourite picture ever, from our 5-4 defeat to Watford in October 2008 :

WTF is this, giving out squad information in advance, you've got to keep the opposition guessing, have you learnt nothing from

2 and a half years of NA's pre-match interviews.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

That header set up Kerins for our injury-time consolation goal :smug:

Probably the highest I've ever jumped, tbf

I don't remember Kerins ever scoring. I only ever remember him missing from 1 yard out up in Watford at the tournament we played.

This one was even closer, can barely have been a foot from the line

Sorry gents, but this game is now off.

West Brom had to change their manager last week as the guy I'd been arranging this game with suddenly dropped it all (understandably) as his wife is undergoing chemotherapy. Having spoken to the bloke who's taken it over, it turns out he'd not made any arrangements with their players and, with West Brom apparently providing free coach travel to their fans for the game, many of them are taking advantage of that so won't be down here early enough. I believe they've sold out their allocation so any remaining players were unable to get a ticket for the game.

As I said previously, I've pencilled in an away game at Watford on Saturday 8th June, so watch this space :)

How about a Saints vs Saints game, just for a laugh, if you've apparently got 30 odd volunteers?

Probables v Possibles

Yeah that's not a bad shout, as long as there's enough interest.

I'll need confirmation from everyone interested (only those who will actually turn up, rather than those who say they'll turn up and then don't bother, please) by the end of the week otherwise I'll have to cancel the pitch booking.

Go! :o

I didn't put my name down originally but you can count me in as definite Steve.

I was on your team at the St Mary's match back in 2010 so I'll let you decide on my ability. No comments here.

Right footed, prefer playing either wing or RB.

Saints v Saints sounds like a great idea, we could do with a bigger squad and it would help with maybe being able to play more IFC games next season and possibly with the ongoing Worldnet numbers issue we get every year, when people drop out of that tournament.

Have we still got 2 sets of non-clashing kit ?

In case you haven't guessed, I'm in.

Where's Griffo , Spades and Influenced .com? They were decent players in the Forum matches, there were loads of others as well, who was the nutty keeper who played keeper /sweeper and nearly took Griffo's head off?

Posted

I'm in! If there's not enough interest in Saints vs Saints then as long as you let me know early enough I should be able to get a work team together!

Posted

OK, at the moment we have the original squad of 15 plus three others, I'd need to get it back up to at least 25 (preferably 28 so each side has a few subs to account for varying fitness levels) to make it viable.
