Liverpool Matchday Uncovered - Behind the Scenes footage of a matchday at St. Mary's

That was great. Enjoyed watching that. MP needs to get a grip on his English though. He needs to start trying to answer press conference questions in English now, or at least start to. We are an English Club, time for MP to start reflecting that, he's had long enough to learn the basics of the language. He seems to understand the questions ok, time to demonstrate some confidence in the lingo.

That said - not watched the full interview on Saints TV so apologies if he's trying and I've missed it. (I am nit-picking though; frankly if he beats teams like Liverpool 3-1 every week he can speak Teletubbies for all I care).

Great video. Couple of observations. I can't believe how calm and quiet it was in the tunnel before the game, we were loud as f*ck singing OWTSGMI slowly and I thought the guy who reads out the scorer would be older.

I very much enjoyed that. Seem to remember the club doing something similar for one of our lower league games. It's always interesting to see multiple dimensions to a given event; gives one a very complete view and additionally, provides tons of material for armchair over-analysts.

There's always going to be an element of "celebrity Heisenberg" about these fly on the wall experiments. Gerrard in particular seemed very aware of the camera. The attitude of the players throughout was interesting; total game face, and almost utterly indifferent in every one of their encounters - but I'm not sure that you can read too much into it.

Our Poche is a feisty little bugger too. I've no doubt he gave them a proper boll0cking at half-time. Was very shrewd at the end, refusing to play the hype game over Clyne.

As someone who has never yet been able to see a game at St. Mary's that was a great watch.

I always arrived at the Dell early, and certainly never too late to see the warm up. For me, half the match day experience is about the anticipation and the build up. The game starts when you wake up on Saturday morning.

That video gave a valuable insight into what things are like today for someone who has not already seen it. Sure, you probably can't smell the wintergreen as the players smash against the perimeter wall as in the Dell days, but that video did deliver.

And as for our manager not speaking English? He was ahead of the game in the premier league mandated post-match interview. He probably doesn't want to even have to do them, so hiding behind the interpreter might be a bit of a tactic. He understood the questions in English well enuff. ;)

Absolutely fascinating 30 minutes; credit to those who filmed it and to those who allowed it to be filmed; mind you, nothing contentious, no tunnel fights, all seemed very amicable.

Interesting, but not altogether surprising that Ramirez & Suarez were comparing notes at half time, seemed reluctant to part.

I didn't realise how early the officials arrived.

Enjoyed that video, good to see 'backstage' footage, must be nerve-wracking coming out to 32,000 screaming fans!

Agree that the video could've done with some editing, but hey I've offered my services to the club before and heard nothing... :p

Good to see that MP and his staff take the time to talk to and appreciate the whole staff at St Marys, the two guys standing in the tunnel (presumably security or some sort) got hugs and high fives from him before and after the game.it might have all been staged because they were getting filmed but you felt a sense of unity from people at the bottom right to the top.

looked like LeSaux was on his way to the ticket office. any tickets left love?

when their coach arrives , the two stewards blocking each side off with a little piece of string ffs

the gloom on the Liverpool players faces when getting off the coach ; while their own fans are cheering them. Spoilt brats.

Mildly interesting - if watching the top of men's heads walk up and down a hallway is your kind of thing. Nothing particularly insightful. Could have cut it by 90% and still got the flavour and FFS get rid of that fish eye lens.

Still using Sony Z1's by the looks of it. Can't they upgrade to a set of MkIII 5D's or the like?
