Guess he would be really pleased.

Would he be pleased with the relationship with Mr Cortese and the supporters, sorry, customers.

Wish he was still here.[/QUOTE]

I too have wondered about that.

And yes, I can imagine him at the last two final games of the season, with his digital camera taking photos of the celebrations.

I don't think our PR would be in the mess it is in some areas had Markus still been around.

In the wider world outside saints web...

Record attendance

Glowing reports on players and managers

Know what you are getting at but there is strong case to say not in mess

I see you ignored the 'in some areas' bit? I see the corporate area is stronger than it has ever been...

He'd be chuffed to pieces. Guess he'd be slightly concerned about how close we are to the drop-zone, but I would imagine, he would be confident that the finances are in place (and the playing squad generally on-board with the project) for a swift return if the worst does happen.

He wouldn't be concerned in the slightest with minor non-issues raised by minority on internet forums.

I honestly think we would have a better PR figure to deal with any issues and weather the storm when necessary (e.g.Adkins dismissal, which I don't think would have been dealt with any different in terms of timing and the actual decision), which quite frankly we've lacked since he passed on.

Other than that I think nothing would've been different, both on or off the pitch. The Echo row started with Markus still here from what I recall so I guess the local journos are not necessarily in the right side of things (maybe not in the wrong either). Having said this, maybe it would have been sorted out already as Markus didn't seem the kind of person to hold grudges.

Oh dear, oh dear - how many more threads or ways of having a pop at NC? Honestly, just deal with it - he is the chairman, and if you don't like it go support some one else. Is anyone perfect? Some people have such shot memories or maybe just live in a happy la la land!

I for one am ecstatic, that we are still around and in the top flight!!! .... and for that I can tolerate the chairman being the great demon some think he is!

Just grow up.

I would think Marcus Liebherr would be very satisfied with proceedings so far. I have little doubt this was something he could really have grown into but initially it would have been both an opportunity to own and develop a football club as well a sound business investment with the construction opportunities in the vicinity. All the visionary images we're now seeing with regards development in and around the stadium are the potential that would have attracted him in the first place, that's why NC is here, he trusted him to make it happen.

Must be nearly time to break out the 'Forever a Saint' banner again, afterall, there's obviously no "health and safety" issues any more after they allowed Liverpool fans in with all those banners on Saturday and no stewards bothered them while they held them aloft for 15 mins or so.

Break out the banners!
