10 points for me as well, although im hoping/praying we can somehow sneak 2 wins in the next 3 which ought to make us safe. I can see Wigan getting out of it and one or more of WHam, Sundlnd or Norwich getting dragged in

Chelsea: Loss,

Reading: Loss,

West Ham: Loss,

Swansea: Loss,

West Brom: Loss,

Spurs: Loss,

Sunderland: Loss,

Stoke: Loss.

Don't think we'll get another point this season.

Can't see where our next win is gonna come from unfortunately, our goal difference is going to take a battering against Chelsea in just under 2 weeks time as well.

Give me a S.....

Give me a K.....

Give me a A.....

Give me a T.....

Give me a E.....

What is that?

Chelsea are still too good for us, reckon it will be close but someone like Lampard or Hazard will score a screamer. We can beat Reading away and Sunderland away, both those teams will be much lower on morale than us. West Ham and Stoke are two of the worst away teams in the league and I think we can get something at Swansea as the don't really have much to play for now, they have a cup and will be in Europe regardless of where they finish. West Brom are very good on the counter and will sit back and then use Long/Lukaku on the break.

Really hope we're 4 points clear heading into the last game, would be nice to enjoy a game and relax in the sun for once!

Knowing Saints it won't be that simple though.

Knowing our luck it'd be 2 points but with a decent goal difference over Villa and QPR... and then Stoke will take the lead :-o

Ignore us - if you offered that final table to Newcastle, they'd rip your balls off for it! I can see them picking up a few points, they won't be in the relegation mix for sure, but that would be an impressive end to the season for them! After seeing them against Wigan though, they were poor - Wigan were the better side, and so I can also see them dropping silly points. Wigan's performance on Sunday, coupled with Aston Villa's recent form, if what gives me the most concern about our own predicament. If both keep those performances up, the final points total could be a lot higher than we think - and ergo could drag those clubs that are on 33-34 points into the mix.

Nice one 10th place! However there must be an error there! I am sure I was told, in no uncertain terms, this was no longer possible, on another thread!

(I did try to explain the difference between possible and probable but as usual it fell on deaf ears)

I feel your pain Halo ;)

Yep sounds about right! We don't do comfortable last days (I know Cov was easy in the end but the tension and nerves before the game nearly killed me)

I can see Sunderland and West Ham being dragged in.

That's just it - whatever the final table and wherever we finish, it won't be justification for how good our current team really is. So many factors have made us more positive this season - the discovery of Shaw and of how good he really is, finding a keeper that can actually earn us points rather than lose us them, seeing us solidfy much more when Cork came back into the side, seeing Jos improve as the season has gone on, playing more direct, pressing football under Pochettino, seeing our lower league players step up and prove themselves Premier League quality. If we go down, God forbid but it may still happen, surely this will be one of the better teams ever to slump out of the division. I don't think it'll come to that though.

One win for the rest of the season though - I'd be surprised if it were that few.

We'll loose at Spurs, and probably against Chelsea.

Every other game is winnable, hopefully we'll keep our last 20 or so games form and pick up another 10 or 11 points.

We've been in midtable form for most of the season apart from the first 10, we were still in that level of form through a period with a fair few injuries loosing Lallana, Fonte, Ramirez etc. It's just that first 10 games that is hurting us.

4 points and 28 goals conceded. in the first 10.

27 points and 24 goals conceced from the last 20 = 1.35 points per game and 1.2 goals conceded per game, so would give us 10.8 points from the last 8. taking us to 41 or 42 points.

Cautious view, gives us another 9 pts which should do it

Worth noting that Wigan play Villa on the last day. If you assume that QPR and Reading are definites to go down then we only need to be one point and GD better off than both Villa and Wigan to avoid a last day drop.

Too hard to say - rather depends which team turns up. If we play like we did vs L'pool it will be different to vs QPR.

Presuming the former, a draw against Chelsea and 3 home wins giving and probably safety (can't do the maths but http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/Southampton.html says 41 = 0% chance of relegation), so away fixtures won't matter. Lose against Spurs, maybe a draw against Swansea and hopefully 4 points from Reading/Sunderland.

Can see Swansea and West Brom settling for mid table and us getting a decent win against both. The Swans already have their passage to Europe and they'll have one eye on the Costa Brava when we play them. Anticipate some unsettling transfer spec for both teams too. Sunderland are quite poor and Stoke should be a day out in the sun. Battling draw's against Chelski & Hammers with only Reading & Spurs turning us over at their place. Probably optimistic, but hey-ho I had a bet on 3-1 on saturday with Morgan first goal at 200/1. :) So currently I'm stupidly over confident on my ability to predict!

Did the BBC predictor and had us finsihing 10th which is because I am completely and unashamedly biased. In ascending order; Reading, QPR and Villa to go down, Villa having lost to Wigan on the final day (not the outcome I'd prefer as Villa is a good day out).
