sammysaint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Also come on NUFC if they win 2moro were 7 points clear and there game in hand is Man City, meaning 2 wins 2 draws would be enough to keep us up.

Crab Lungs Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 United haven't got out of reverse and they're still winning. However, I really do need them to keep a clean sheet for my accy.... C'mon United.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Promisingly Reading tried to play football today and they didn't have the players for it. Bit more optimistic about the game at their place now.
skintsaint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 after the downer of the QPR game the table is looking much much sweeter tonight...!!11one
S-Clarke Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 I think Reading are dreadful and they don't worry me in the slightest. They have no quality in that side for this level of football.
Lighthouse Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 I really can't make a case for Reading staying up. their 3 most winnable games are home games against us, Liverpool and QPR. Even winning all 3 won't come close to keeping them up. It would get them barely above the drop zone even on today's table.
SNSUN Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 I've said all along Reading will finish bottom. They just don't have enough strength in depth or quality. Looks like Pogrebniak's wages will haunt them next season. QPR's recent resurgence stalled today against a poor Villa side too, so in my mind they're down too, but I still think Reading will finish bottom. As for the other spot? Well Wigan have been cut adrift too, but they have players to put together some wins, as they showed against everton in the cup. I would still have Villa for the other spot, although I wouldn't like a bet on it.

Tamesaint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 You may not agree with the Adkins sacking and I do not but at least it happened well before the end of the season and there was a replacement lined up. Reading's decision to get rid of MacDermott with 9 games left and no immediate replacement looks odder by the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've already decided but didn't want to throw the new guy in at Old Trafford - Redknapp certainly decided to dodge that one with QPR, taking over the following day... Good point. But their next game is at Arsenal. If they wait until after that game as well the new man has 7 games left and according to Redknapp teams on 23 points need 5 wins for safety. A tough task for a new manager.
