lordswoodsaints Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Did the fans constant booing and skate jibes frighten him into playing crap today or was he just plain sh!te?
Saint Garrett Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He was utterly dreadful today. Surely not that bad usually? Only one English RB on show today.
Saint Scott Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 They're whole squad never got going. Gerrard was marked out the game and didnt have a chance to get the ball down and pick passes thanks to Morgan and Cork. On a side note I thought that Johnson was quick but at one point in the second half Shaw absolutely roasted him!
Crab Lungs Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He's pretty turd anyway. Clyne is far, far better.

saintrich Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He has only ever been good going forward. Is by far Liverpool's worst defender.
paulwantsapint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Glad that we had our 2 full back over theirs Luke Shaw ran his side of pitch & Nathaniel Clyne was the only right back that was worth anything like an England no2 shirt
70's Mike Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He is like a lot of modern full backs good going forward not so hot when he is under pressure in his own half

Shaw and Lallana ran Downing and Johnson ragged today I thought.
Eaststander Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Have to say that I thought the abuse he got in the warm up would back fire. He had a cocky smile in his face when he realised the abuse was aimed directly at him. But he is a weak man mentally, and it got to him. No doubt about it the crowd played its part today. He wasn't expecting it, and he wasn't expecting such isolation either as we exposed his weaknesses.
S-Clarke Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He's never been that good defensively has he? I always see him caught out, and he grabs the spotlight for his runs and spectacular goals. But defensively he's always been distinctly average
KK the 2nd Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Did the fans constant booing and skate jibes frighten him into playing crap today or was he just plain sh!te? A combination of both.
ottery st mary Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Johnson was very poor today.. Not a very good defender and poor show in in forward positions. Crowd defenitely got to him at times. Totally out shone by Clyne. COYS:)
skintsaint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Another full back who would be better playing on the wing. Thought he done Guly a treat right at the end. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
The9 Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 He was utterly dreadful today. Surely not that bad usually? Only one English RB on show today. Stood next to a Liverpool-supporting mate today, she said he's the weak link in their defence, much better going forward (usually). He didn't look fazed or remotely bothered by the crowd, took a touch and just stood there with the ball comfortably on loads of occasions, didn't look anxious or hurried on the ball. Graffito Posted 17 March, 2013 Share Posted 17 March, 2013 He was just poor. Outshone by Clyne. Just as Cole was second best to Shaw, Chelsea away.
Chez Posted 17 March, 2013 Share Posted 17 March, 2013 Thought the crowd on his back had an effect and showed exactly why fans should give skates and other players we dislike the bird. They don't all react well. Time the middle sections started to play their part and give these primadonas some grief. I knke the pomoey fans looked like ****s when throwing the ball at Fox last season, but that hostility can unerve one or two so we should do it ourselves if it helps the side. Restark19 Posted 17 March, 2013 Share Posted 17 March, 2013 No way is he better than any of Walker, Clyne or Micah Richards. Only in the England squad because Woy thinks playing for the mighty Liverpool makes you world class
JPTCount Posted 17 March, 2013 Share Posted 17 March, 2013 consistantly the worst player in an an england shirt over the last 4/5 years, but he pops up with a screamer now n then so everyone thinks he is amazing.
Golden Balls Posted 17 March, 2013 Share Posted 17 March, 2013 Before the game started and he was getting abuse, he looked like he was finding it funny. That worried me. Then he had one bad touch early on and the crowd really got to him. He looked like he just didn't want to risk any big passes and made so many more mistakes. Most I've seen a crowd reaction effect a performance since we got on Hunts for Reading a few years back.
