Marsdinho Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 Did anyone see the shooting star last night that was akin to the one over Russia (sort of!)? about 9pm. Was with a group of mates watching a Hants cup final in Hamble and saw it towards the end of the game, no kidding, it was a bright as a firework. And no, it wasn't a firework as the trajectory was all wrong, and I know what a shooting star looks like. Anyone else see it. was very impressive. sussexsaint Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 I have been an astrophotographer for a few years now and most nights if you spend long enough looking up you will see meteors and occasionally a much much brighter one called a fireball will light up the sky, always fantastic to watch
Ohio Saint Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 I saw one in France once. It was largish, and I saw it split onto two. A few seconds later there was a loud crack. It was pretty awesome, but I wish I knew it was coming so I knew what I was seeing before I saw it.

um pahars Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 The international space station the other night was impressive. I'm still amazed at how bright it was and how fast it was going!!!
