Colinjb Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 (edited) Just heard this on Talksport. Was meant to be on the Sunday of the easter weekend, now put back a day to the Saturday, conventional 3pm kick off in order to accomodate the Chelsea v Man Utd cup replay that's been scheduled on the Easter Monday. Excellent. Edited 13 March, 2013 by Colinjb
damers Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Arrrggh! rearranged the Easter weekend once - Now to try and do it again!
OWTSGMI Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Good but not for those who wanted to watch on TV!
ericofarabia Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Good but not for those who wanted to watch on TV! Or had a Dubai World Cup party arranged for saturday. Feck Feck Feck another match passes me by.
Toomer Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Good football should be 3.00pm on a Saturday afternoon!
Hatch Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 hopefully rest all their players as well for the Monday match. effing Torres will score a hat trick
Restark19 Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 effing Torres will score a hat trick Of own goals.
Andre Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Why couldn't the FA Cup match have been subject to the rescheduling, instead of a match which has already been rescheduled once and tickets sold?
Matthew Le God Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Why couldn't the FA Cup match have been subject to the rescheduling, instead of a match which has already been rescheduled once and tickets sold? When would you have put the FA Cup replay? Made extra hard if Chelsea stay in the Europa League.
Lets B Avenue Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Why couldn't the FA Cup match have been subject to the rescheduling, instead of a match which has already been rescheduled once and tickets sold? It has and Chelsea could also be playing on the Thursday in the Europa League if they get past Steau this week.
Doctoroncall Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 It has and Chelsea could also be playing on the Thursday in the Europa League if they get past Steau this week. Anything to make it harder for them please!
Gingeletiss Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Of own goals. Nah!!! that will be Jos Hooiveld........
Saint Charlie Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Got to be good news. Rafa will want a trophy and with United at home in the FA Cup on the Monday I would be suprised if they didnt rest a fair few with only a day in between.
Tom & Gerry Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 This is ridiculous. This is the Easter week end FFS, most people will have made plans around the game. If Chelsea can't fulfill the fixture they should forfit the game.
Trader Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 If you now can't go - from the OS "If as a result of this fixture change, supporters are no longer able to attend the match a full refund will be made, excluding any fees applied at the time of purchase. No administration charges will be applied for refunds for this fixture as a result of the date change." So not a full refund then. Outstanding.

If Chelsea can't fulfill the fixture they should forfit the game. I had made plans around the original date before the move to Sunday so this suits me fine.

SNSUN Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 3 games i can get to in the tail end of this season, Chelsea, West Ham, Stoke, becomes 2. :-(
Tom & Gerry Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 tbf to Chelsea it isn't their fault. No just more people who couldn't organise anything in a brewery
shirleysfc Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 So Chelsea and Fulham will play at home on the same day?
Sanjay Sanchez Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 So Chelsea and Fulham will play at home on the same day? No.
JRM Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Anything to make it harder for them please! If they get through they will not be playing the Thursday before our game, but the Thursday after. hopefully they have a lot of players involved in the Internationals that week on Tuesday 26th March, but you can guarantee lots of chelsea players will pick up knocks and can't play. Russia v Brazil is being played at Stamford Bridge that way as well!
Hedgehog Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 Shame for those who didn't buy a ticket because they thought they could watch it on Sky instead. Although it doesn't affect me, how do season ticket holders get on if they have changed their plans because of the game was going to be on telly, now can't go because the game has been changed again, can they claim the cost of the game?
grantsaint Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 I have already booked my flights and tickets and they are all paid for. Spent over £300 for the game to be moved. Surely there will be a lot of fans who are in the same boat that have paid for train faires and now cannot go. Anyone know if I can get my money back??
Hedgehog Posted 13 March, 2013 Posted 13 March, 2013 I bet there is some small print that says no. Also I suppose Chelsea will now get TV money for this game, as I assume it will be televised. Do Saints get compensated for allowing a Sky game only for it to be taken away!

Colinjb Posted 14 March, 2013 Author Posted 14 March, 2013 Think ITV are showing it live Ahhh you mean the FA Cup game. Possibly. No way the premier league game is.
Andre Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 Good to see the club pointing out its disapproval of the second change, refreshing.
eelpie Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 If you now can't go - from the OS "If as a result of this fixture change, supporters are no longer able to attend the match a full refund will be made, excluding any fees applied at the time of purchase. At Long last - after years of complaining by supporters - the club is refunding if supporters cannot make a rearranged match! let's hope that this becomes the norm with ALL RESHEDULED matches if supporters cannot make the re-arranged date or time.

I thought I remembered announcements about refunds for games that had been moved? No surprise the Cortese tax is not refunded.
Saint_Pedro Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 According to the Telegraph .... "Had the Chelsea fixture gone ahead as planned, Southampton would have been one short of the 10-game threshold beyond which Premier League clubs receive £470,000 for every appearance in a live televised game. "
krissyboy31 Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 tbf to Chelsea it isn't their fault. Yes it was, they got the equaliser!
Horley CTFC Saint Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 A real sign of the times when you get an email from the club apologising for playing a game at 3.00pm on a Saturday
Spudders Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 Splendid, now I can go! Ah crud, I on the other hand now can't go as I'm going to bournemouth beer festival now
