More fodder for the forum "characters" to latch onto. From todays Charles Sale column:-

"Southampton executive chairman Nicola Cortese described the club’s head of communications Julius Duncan on his appointment last December as bringing a ‘range of experience and skills that will help keep Southampton at the forefront of communications in the years ahead’.

Yet less than three months later Duncan, recruited from financial PR, has resigned apparently because he was unsuited for the post. He certainly had little empathy for football, as shown by the botched PR handling of manager Nigel Adkins’s sacking."

If he was responsible for the way the Adkins sacking was handled then good. We do burn through staff at a rate of knots though.

How come our PR manager decided to sack Adkins?

It's the Southampton way, what price a new manager for pre-season next year?

I'm sure it was just a simple misunderstanding, a miscommunication if you will.

I'm guessing we won't be hearing from him as he's bound and gagged, right?

I always had doubts about someone called Julius entering the football world.

Seemed as unlikely as a man called Rupert fitting in to it.

But what of a man called Nicola ?

If he's gone how do we know?

He came round and told everyone personally. He's just left my place in Somerset and is heading up the M5 to Liverpool.

Don't go to bed just yet, it's worth staying up for.

Yeah.

Oh by the way, he has got some particularly nasty head wounds and doesn't seem to be able to stop crying.

I spoke to him through the letterbox.

I'll sort him no worries, a cup o tea and a sarnie, maybe a beer or two, I always look after me guests.

If they were going to get rid of him why do it part way through the season. It's the timing I don't understand.

I can't understand why there hasn't been an official statement praising his work to get us where we are today.

Irony, humour and dry wit are lost upon this lad, he must be from the Orkney Isles or Bassett.

Just so I know for future reference, which if these traits do you display? Thanks for your help.

In reality our recent PR form hadn't been that bad.

There is no infomation to give out, never is in this regime, its cutting a job out thats not needed.

North Koreans get more infomation on their Nation than we do of our club.

May be not so this time Lungs, - He resigned.

They may well have put some sort of compromise agreement together (Depending on his notice period) but essesntially he walked of his own accord.

Al Capone, Boba Fett and the man with the golden gun were seen following him.......................
