Stadium revamp pics 'wow'

Yes Bearsy it is (really), it is designed to rust on the outside. All lobster shacks are now being made from it, maybe this is what we will have next to the stadium.

Here is a story about it, just for you and MLG:

I've had this Maine 'buoy bell' wind chime for about eight years now. I really like it. It has the haunting melancholy sound of a bell buoy at sea being tossed by wind and waves. It is made of COR-TEN steel which is designed to rust on the surface to create a protective barrier against further rusting. It came painted black on the outside and was supposed to develop this rich rust patina naturally over time. Well, the unpainted inside did rust completely after about a year, but the outside only rusted slightly, near the bottom, even after exposure to the sun, rain, and snow of the northeast for eight years. I wanted it to have a nice rust patina that looked like it had been hanging on the eaves of a lobster shack, at the end of a pier, for many a year, being splashed and buffeted by nor'easters and sudden gales. Seeing it was taking so long, I decided to take things into my own hands and, ah, "help" mother nature along and accelerate the process. I searched the net and found mostly dangerous methods to induce rust on steel using highly caustic or acidic chemical solutions. However I finally did find a simple safe method, using on-hand household chemicals, buried deep within a thread on the subject at a metalworking forum. I got spectacular results which have not only withstood the wind and rain of the southwest but have actually improved with the help of mother nature. I like the results so much, and there is so little practical information on the subject that is accessible to the general public, I thought I'd share this simple method with the instructables community.

Christ, thought I'd managed to post a new reply while downstairs watching telly.

Heart started beating again when I was an hour into it and realized it hadn't mentioned Golf

When I used it bear, I typically accelerate the rust by spraying with ammonium chloride and then sprat the sculpture with a mix of linseed oil and turpentine. Even though the customer has to apply another coat of oil every year, it saves on average

£1000-2000 per sculpture on galvanising and painting costs.

Theses are for regular size structures mind so probably more for the sandcrawler thing.

This will help pay for more gold teeth for puncheons.

Why?

This is not being infered.

No grizzling from me. Simply calling it as I see it. Some posters share the club's ambitions; whereas, the noisy ones who wreck every thread they get their hands on, seem dead set against anything improving at the club. I don't understand the mentality of an interweb troll, I don't know what you get from it.

If you object to the club progressing, state your reasons why. If you want to see the club progress, but have some reservations over spending, or us over-streaching, fair enough, state them, but don't just snipe snide comments from the sidelines.

What are your problems with the club commissioning, and releasing CAD visulisations?

No one objects to the club progressing.

No one. Not a single person.

Understand?

do you need to make ur sculptures of main boy's bell more thick tho? I mean cos of sacificial rustings? i'm concerned bout if the additional material would mean more costs. i hope this is all factored in. Possibly explains the hold up in construction of jawa sandcruiser?

genuine question. no trolls pls.

Crabby, I'm filling in for MLG to tonight, he has given me full powers. Any questions you have for him, you can ask me as I have all the information.

Bear, yes these thick bells can add to the construction costs but luckily NC is a famously small man so we will save money in other areas.

They are not really even plans, they are just drawings and artist impressions. Might as well of been whacked up by the 9 or something.

The last stadium I designed was on PES 2013 fwiw. It was St Mary's. Ish.

FFS bear, I'm filling in not you. He wants a serious answer about cortens steel not some rabble about brummy prostitutes smellin of rihanna.

here is test to see who is mlg jnr. Search this thread and find someone who needs correcting bout something. First one to do a correction is official mlg fluffer for night. GO!

Shouldn't cortens & steel have capital letters?

OK, OK. Here's the crux of my questions.

I've emboldened the bit where I've asked what I'd like to know, but so far I haven't had any answers. I've quoted MLG's original diatribe to "set the scene" for you. Here you go;

If we can average over 30k in a relegation season, a half decent season would require a bigger stadium. Every sell out we've had this season means the club has turned customers away.

Question 1: And how many games was that? I'd love to know.

We are playing in a packed out stadium whilst in a relegation battle, Cortese has ambitions and it seems resources for Saints not to be in a relegation battle. Therefore the stadium is too small.

What exactly would he now be waiting for? He can already see that Saints will fill St Mary's when in a relegation battle, if the club was actually doing well he'll need his bigger stadium. The surrounding development is also largely independent of what league we are in and will add to revenue streams.

Question 2: How big do you think we are, seriously?

If you sell out your stadium out when in a relegation fight and have ambitions of competing much higher up the league, then yes, it is too small.

Question 3: How many times have they sold out then? I'd like to know.

Question 4: I'd also like to know as to why you think it's a sensible investment to spend £30m+ expanding the stadium on the basis that a few games out 19 this season were sold out (and bearing in mind that it's still a novelty as we're back in the top division for the first time in seven years).

Have you noticed it isn't merely a capacity increase, far more to it than that which will benefit revenue streams. My reference to the training ground is that unlike Pompey, Cortese/Liebherr have a history of seeing through building projects. I doubt they are the type that put time money and effort into pipe dreams. Cortese means business.

Question 5: I didn't realise you'd been following their work for so long. I'd love to see some examples of their joint projects together.. then we'd know that it isn't factless bile, won't we?

PS: For those who think people are rounding on him and reject all progress for the club. For me, it's absolutely clear; All it is the same people asking the same pertinent questions to someone who refuses to listen. No-one objects to progress, but they have a right to reject someones viewpoint, especially if it's skewed in their opinion.

At LAST!

Total CONCLUSIVE proof that WE need a BIGGER STADIUM!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2292717/Middlesbrough-fans-free-pint-new-season-ticket-deal.html

If ONLY we weren't almost selling out every week, IF ONLY we needed MORE ST holders, then THE REST OF US could demand the same promotion at SMS+

Free beer for ST Holders. Hell, it's almost worth the ticket tax

We is done 6 sold outs season so far.

Question 2: How big do you think we are, seriously?

we is currently 18th biggest club in england, but we is getting more bigger with superman cortese & liebherr millions

Edit: it might of been 17th biggest actually. i can't quite remember. i will check with mlg.

Question 3: How many times have they sold out then? I'd like to know.

who? it is not clear from ur quotings

Edit: Was it readings? Readings is done 11 sold outs season so far http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/reading-fc/zuschauerzahlen/verein_1032.html

cos cortese thinks we is gonna be much success and he is backing visions with liebherr millions.

Hi 9, I don't believe you meant to put a dot/full stop or whatever in between st Mary's and ish, these should be together or something.

Love MLG junior.

Yeah I did. Also, it's an online convention (and one of journalism) nowadays to ignore the "dot" after "St", so you can't have that one either. See here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/reading/9923524/Reading-sack-Brian-McDermott-with-Paolo-Di-Canio-and-****-Advocaat-front-runners-to-take-over-at-Madejski.html "Zenit St Petersburg".

This is to do with no being out-pendanted, as opposed to any desire to fluff for MLG, for the record.

If you wish to take issue regarding the full stop, you should be indicating that "Ish" is not a sentence and doesn't deserve to be one, as all sentences contain verbs. But that, again, is just artistic license.

Whatever the9, I'm MLG for the night. Ish. If you have any questions about rusty steal just put them forward. Otherwise stop spamming up the stadium thread with non stadium/non rusty stuff.

Btw - did you mean to put "no being out-pendanted" or did you really want to put "not" instead or whatever?

Good questions and well put.

I think you just have to accept that some very odd people post on here. They must lead rather dull lives but I suppose if they spend their time on here they are not doing damage somewhere else.

Care to name a single person on this forum who "objects to the club progressing". Just one name.

Fairyland stuff.

Nope. Not got it. Alpine?

Although if your idea of negative is disagreeing with MLG's idiocy, then your benchmarks clearly need some work.
